Evolving my OHC - debate on pricing

Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with the Lancer Evo.

I've set the wheels turning on my plans to transform my OHC into something more.. below is the list of stuff I've done and things waiting to be done - but I'd be glad if you guys could give me your opinion on the costs that have been quoted. They seem to vary a lot at different places - it's like the crappin' real-estate prices !

Done:
  • Accelere 195/55/R15 + Lenso White alloys + Nitrogen filled + balancing/allighnment= INR 34,900
  • Exhaust tip = INR 600
  • Shark fin = INR 300
Waiting List:
  • Front headlight replacement OEM = INR 2000 per piece.
  • Rear headlight replacement OEM = INR 1500 per piece.
  • Hella Horn = INR 1800.
  • A/c Gas = INR 950
  • Side Indicator (the small bulb) = INR 1000
  • Grill painting = INR 300
  • Calliper & Drums painting = INR 800
  • Bumper Grill painting = INR 300
  • A/C Panel painting = INR 800
  • K&N air-filter with plumbing = INR 6200+INR 500
Anybody got any opinions to share about these ?

Those will be Depo lights Shrey, Stanley is much more expensive but both are very good.

Di1 - 195/55 might scrape with the arches so check before you buy.

Nope, 195/55 does not scrape the arches even on full load. Haven't tried doing a fast turn - a full of load of people breathing down my neck isn't a good situation .

i don't know whether rear lights are really called rear 'headlights'. recently replaced one for type II and costed 1400 in hyd. front headlights replaced with stanley for 3500 one year ago at honda. how about philips extreme vision?
why exhaust tip? i mean the regualr thing that's bolted to OE exhaust? look crap. put one automech. not great. but good.
i think for 6.2k you will get K&N extreme conical filter.

I'd done that once, and that headlight smoked out in 2 years - which is why i'm changing it now.

While on the topic, what options does one have for ventilated disc brakes (front only), and suspension for OHC, which does not involve cutting anything (that is, the options that are direct fit on OHC limited to street use, with an occasional track day thrown in)?

AFAIK there are no bolt-on suspension options for the OHC save the DMS which are super expensive.

Ishaan,

I would have to disagree with you on that. There are at least 4 companies abroad selling bolt on suspension for the OHC including DMS that I am aware of. Am sure there will be more in Japan.

Jignesh! If its possible for you to please list down prices and availability of these bolt on kits. And we are reffering to coilovers right? And not individual components like stiffer springs or just stiffer dampers?

I don't know about other pricing, but your headlights and tail-lights are SUPER expensive.

I bought my OHC tail-lights for 400 bucks .. "Depo" brand.

And 2 days ago, for 2200 bucks I just bought "Stanley" Headlights for the Accord!!

400 ?? Are you sure ?? Because last i checked, they wouldn't even give me duplicates for that amount unless it has a scratch or a nip or something.
