Pic please.

I wonder if we can fix Linea's rear AC setup in Punto with these kind of mods!

Cheers!

I will upload the pics by tomorrow.

Regarding the rear AC vents, I even checked it. It needs lot more changes/ spares to have additional opening for the AC blower. I think Fiat might have closed it with a plate for Punto.

I bought it from Fiat. There was only one armrest & bracket readily available in Bengaluru and from 2 different dealers.

I could fit it myself so no additional charges.

At which dealer you fitted the armrest?

I fitted it myself. All I needed was drilling machine & box spanner & could do it myself.

Some images attached

The opening you see in the last image is for rear A/C vent. I am yet to close that.

This is simply great NSK 123, So all we have to do is to call the FIAT showroom and ask them for a linea handrest to be fitted on the Punto. Honestly I wouldnt even have thought. And that too factory fitted wow.

Can the rear AC vents be made operational by the Fiat guys??? Any possibility if that would void the warranty in anywhich ways??

The spare parts cost comes to @2k only, and labour charge is @ 1.5K.

The armrest makes life so much easier, im loving it.
Hi Hrishi,

When you got the rear armrest fitted onto the punto, how was the rear vents issue taken care of. As far as I ve seen in my Linea, the armrest houses the rear ac vents as well? Can you post some pics from the front and rear. thanks.

Edit- Mods, apologies for back to back posts, can you please merge them. thanks.

Hello Mihir,

I am Kiran not Hrishi. The rear AC Vent can also be fitted. But that involves lot of changes & the console around gear box to be opened & refitted. Since all these parts are made of plastic, I don't wanted to venture more. But I think it is possible. As per part list you need to get 2 ducts which connects the AC vents to the rear AC vent (pic of open AC vent is already posted).

Since I missed the bottle holder due to armrest, I am thinking of some modifications to the AC vent & use it as bottle holder (I am yet to work on that).

Re: Fiat Linea front arm rest for Fiat Punto

another easy option is to do a search on Ebay for "universal arm rest" and you can get one for about $50 or so

Re: Fiat Linea front arm rest for Fiat Punto

Frankly speaking I didnt feel the driver left-armrest in my Linea much comfortable. for me it interfere with my left arm while gear shifting, so I use it as a shelf/pouch only.

But I hate any interference/obstruction while at wheels, physical or even 'interfering talks', must be fully free, except the belt...

I dont know how others feel, how they enjoy it...

Re: Fiat Linea front arm rest for Fiat Punto

I couldnt find a correct fitting Mobile charger for my Linea MJD. The only power outlet is Lighter. I tried 100s of different Charger Plugs, none fitting snugly, all are loose.

Any solution, pls

same problem here. i cannot fit my car inverter, mobile charger or laptop charger properly , i hate the socket which is so shallow.

What you need it a extension which has small connector at one and and big socket at another. i have seen it in a shop. i am going to buy it soon.

I had the same problem. My original Blackberry charger would not work in the Linea but would work in the other cars. I finally ordered one which works in my Linea - something like this -
