I'm on my second Jopasu, and I vaguely remember getting occasional waxy streaks on the glass when they are new.

I'm a great believer in keeping wax and glass apart --- but my dusty-dirty Jopasu is not giving me any such problems now.

Thank you. I will try to keep away Jopasu from the windscreen for the initial few days then.

99% of my drive includes night drive and i haven't noticed any issue like that. As a precaution (for mental peace), while the duster is new, start by using it first on the entire car for couple of days. Later after few days you can start with windscreen too.

Now I should not be holding any scope for doubt regarding the visibility at night after yours and Thad's posts.

On my second Jopasu now.

The first one of 2016 vintage had a whole lot of excess wax which wore off after a dozen rounds. Post that I've used it on the windscreen always without it leaving any wax.

The second one that I commissioned just 2 months back had no extra wax at all. In fact I wonder if the wax has been cut down to half the original. This one has less strands and worked with zero residue from Day1.

My 9 month old Jopasu stopped picking up dust recently. So I thought of washing it and applying the rejuvenator. Washing the duster itself is a huge headache with lots of wastage of water, time and energy. Was finally able to clean it and dry it completely. Rejuvenator is yet to be delivered. In the meantime I ordered this microfiber duster from Autofurnish for ₹399. It has a very helpful extendable handle and soft foam grip on the handle. Used it for the first time today and dust removal was at par with Jopasu. Attached links and photos below -

I don't think I'll bother with Jopasu rejuvenator, even though I have some. It is just too much trouble to wash, dry, and then apply. Better to consider it to be disposable and buy a new one!
I have one like that. It doesn't seem to have a waxiness that holds dust. What I use it for is dusting the car cover before removing it.

Week point is the plastic hole for the handle. Mine has now been super-glued in place and liberally plastered with M-Seal: hope it lasts.

How to perfectly wash a Jopasu car duster before applying the rejuvenator? Should it be washed? If yes, then how often it needs to be washed?

Have been using Jopasu for sometime now. I have a XUV and cleaning it with Jopasu isn't a headache at all. It absorbs the dust as per the expectation. Completely satisfied till now.

Any esteemed member would like to share his/her thoughts on how to dispose off the duster? I am apprehensive in throwing it in the dustbin because I think that it may be inflammable and/or might pose a risk to our environment.

I had been using Jopasu for over 2 months - made the mistake of using it over the windshield, however, had no issues until the rains arrived. I had never used Jopasu over a wet surface. While driving in the rain i noted foggy windshield with bare minimum visibility, I went through posts answering about foggy front windshield and tried many solutions suggested - AC, temperature settings etc. Nothing worked.

Then i stopped using Jopasu for a month - started cleaning the car with water (i used shampoo only a single time) once in 3 days and the issue was resolved after 2 weeks. Now i do not use Jopasu over the windshield and have no issues when it rains - I mean, no fogginess irrespective of AC and temperature setting. The night driving during rain i have mentioned is for about 3Km (25 min in Bengaluru), same start and end point in the city.

I have tried rejuvenating my Jopasu with the solution last month - its cold here in Bengaluru. I tried keeping the bottle of wax in boiling water, under the sun. Dipping the bottle in hot water for 5 min (intermittently) and then spraying the duster for about 5 times, then again keeping the bottle in hot water for about 10 seconds and spraying - repeat this.. However, the spray is not uniform (the nozzle is set to spray and not stream) and i keep the duster about a feet away from me, in addition, the wax hardens at the tip of the nozzle after about 10 sprays and the force of the stream weakens due to this. Any solutions or should i wait for summer and buy a new Jopasu duster now?

Whilst it's great that they supply the rejuvenation fluid, I have tried it a couple of times and (OK, call me lazy) it is more trouble than it is worth.

Understand that your duster can be totally black and still be working. Failure to pick up the dust is the cue to do something, and I'm afraid that my answer is... buy a new one.

Thanks for the reply, It took me lot of time to wash the duster and I have to admit, got some backache for a day or two after washing it. The strands were not looking great after i washed them (even after they dried), i am not sure if this has to do with quality of the new duster (I came across photos of the old and new duster in this thread which also discussed that the old duster was better in quality).

One issues with ordering new dusters is disposing the old one. I will be generating more plastic waste (duster handle) by this. I wish Jopasu could sell only the wax coated strands with the cover and we could put it over the handle (like refilling a pen) rather than buy the entire duster.

Yes, I admit it... my advice is a little lazy and environmentally unsound <Blush>. But I do get a year or two out of my Jopasu dusters.
