Thanks a ton Tejas. Never knew this option existed. This sounds like a VFM solution. Thanks

The only thing I need to figure out is where it needs an external tank as evident from the snout or it has the ability to hold some waste within.

It seems it holds the waste within.

There's another one as well:

eBay India: COLEMAN - CAMPINGAZ PORTABLE CHEMICAL TOILET (item 280348582680 end time 16-May-2010 23:24:22 IST)

This has more images shown with labels. Why don't you click on the "ask seller" link and get more details?

It's great that a chemical toilet is finally available; that brings this type of project a step closer.
I have used these things in Europe, and actually lived in a truck for nearly a year while we were waiting for our new property, then while we renovated the house.

First, you need the chemical; I don't know what it is, but you you need about 50ml of it each time.
Perhaps the guy who sells the toilet sells the chemical too.
Without the chemical, or, to use the proper term "Blue sh*t", it will be too smelly. I mean SERIOUSLY smelly.

Next, it needs to be emptied at least every 3 days. You can use a normal toilet to empty it into, but it's tricky to do without getting some splash; and you REALLY don't want the contents of that thing splashing onto you or the bathroom.

You need to rinse it out a couple of times with fresh water, then put some new chemical [blue sh*t] in the holding tank, and fill the fresh water tank with water.

This is the horrible dirty reality of camping, guys.
Other than this task, the rest is great fun.

Now all you need is a fridge!

DKG,

I was skimming through some of my old Autocar magazines and I saw this. Hopefully it's off some interest to your project

That's very cool! I was looking for a place like that for a while.
It's too late to be useful for me, but I found their website and thought I should post it here.

Thanks will do. I'm glad quite a few options seem to be available right here in India.
