Ordered them off Amazon. I am not a big fan to the fan types :)
They suck in dust and when the cooling system of those LEDs die ,the LEDs do flicker and eventually die...

A video of the output thanks to my dashcam. Please note I have a VLT70 sunfilm on the front glass and I have a polarising filter on the dashcam. The light in person is much brighter

Since I have 4300K bulbs, the light colour is the same as halogens, although its not very obvious in the pictures and video.

I still have a long way in correctly aligning the projectors, both are off a lot in both axes.

Probably most of us Duster owners know the downside of buying a duster with the headlight assembly.

@Aray, Are you using the LED's in the high-beam ?

I dont see any projectors there .. So the light would not be focussed, but quite dispersed ?

Did you make a hole in the dust caps to take out the heat-sinks ?

Anyone know what bulbs are to be used in the High beam of the Innova Crysta with the LED projectors?

HB3/9005 bulbs.
High beam bulb is same for projector light crysta and non projector light crysta.

Does anyone know what is the bulb type in Vento double barrel headlight? The user manual is common for a lot of their cars so I am unable to pinpoint bulb type for 2016 Vento.

Both high and low beams are H7 bulbs. My GT TDI came with these same double barrel lights.

Are you sure? I'm about to import an HID kit. Aren't HB3/9005 bulbs mostly used in the fog lights?

I hope you are considering HID projectors too.

HID bulbs in halogen housings, especially for high beam, would put out very less usable light, with most of the light scattering around and causing glare to other road users, thereby posing a safety issue for them as well as you.

MOrimoto Mini H1 7.0. Definitely projectors.

That's good. It would be interesting to know how you plan to use the Bi-xenon projectors with the existing low-beam LED projectors.

What I Didn’t Like About The LED Headlights (in standard reflectors designed for Halogen)
  • Borderline dangerously bright for oncoming traffic. Blinding other cars is no better than not being able to see yourself.
  • Just how hot the heat-sinks got was a little disconcerting. Even with all the safety guarantees from the purveyor, I’d want to be extremely wary of how they were positioned.
  • Throw-distance felt shorter than halogens; a big disadvantage for high-speed driving. But what’s more, the LEDs had a very tight flood pattern. I like the way traditional lights bleed into the woods a bit; the LEDs didn’t do that as much.

The technology used in LEDs are changing at a rapid pace. If you do your research, you will be able to find a set of LEDs you can use in reflectors without having negatives like I did.

The LED bulbs I had went to a friend who used them on his Duke 390. Here are the high and low beam pictures taken side by side with another duke with stock bulbs. The LEDs are much brighter although its not clearly visible in the pictures. :

Here is his feedback on the LED bulbs :

PS : The duke friend is a far more responsible headlamp user than I will ever be and had more reservations about using LEDs in reflectors then me. The fact he is happy made me think that the right LEDs will do the job better than halogens.

Looking to swap the stock H4 bulbs for my GT TSI.

What is the model year for your GT TSI? Doesn't it come with separate bulbs for low and high beams? I do not think the bulb type is H4.
