My question-shouldn't we trust the relay supplied in the box-made by the manufacturer?Wouldn't he have done R&D on the relay before supplying it with the horn?

Well, these things are made in Italy for Italian conditions (as in, use the horn once a month). Maybe our conditions are too demanding? Would explain why a Nautilus will conk in a year, on average.

Makes sense-I was using the Nautilus as my daily horn-now has conked exactly after a year-coincidence?Am taking it to the horn repair guys to have it checked before I buy a new one.

the same one that came with he box packing. is that worth to trust?

i had just posted yesterday that my nautilus had gone kaput. i tried to check the horn by pulling it a bit outwards from the front grill to check whether the trumphets are dirty. in this process the wire came out of the horn lugs.
somehow i managed to put the wire back. the horn is installed in such a position behind the front bumper that you can hardly see the wiring.

and voila, the horn came back to its full life clap:. it was such a relief for me.

hey wolffe. i just got the horn form that Victory automobiles for 750/- and it turns out that my dad has the same horn on his Octavia. anyways thanks dude. n by the by i think i saw your car today near gemini by 1.30am, not sure if it was your car though. i saw a grey fiesta with the same kind of DIY wheels that you have done.

Hi guys

My three trumpet air horn motor seems to work but there doesn't seem to be much air coming out. My mechanic says its because of the scratches caused by the mica 'fliers' or what ever you call it inside the air chamber. Could this be a reason? Is there any way to fix this? Another thing is there any way to clean the sealed trumpets of the horn?

Fixed the Roots Windtone 90 horn - pair with relay + 2way switch for using oem horns also.It cost me 485 bucks for the horn alone. A great voice upgrade indeed for my i10 :)for highways,suburbs and even city ( for the dumb autos,buses).
This horn draws 5.0 amps(other windtone horns - 4.0amps) and has a modest 112db output.I found it slightly louder than other horns in this series, so i went for it.

To all the owners of the Stebel Nautilus horn-please be careful with the plastic clip(refer attachment) which holds the trumpet and the motor together.My horn specialist broke it while adding oil-the horn sounded like a dying moose after that.
Took it to Pudupet to have it checked and then found out that the plastic clip holding the trumpet and the motor is integral in making sure no air leaks out-which is why my horn sounded dead.The guy later fitted an "O" ring making the connection airtight-now my horn is back to blasting at 139db.
IMHO-if it ain't broke,don't try to fix it.
