Team-BHP - Power Horns!

I've been hunting for a Stebel Nautilus for my Civic for a while now. It appears the thing has disappeared off the shelves here in Kerala. Therefore, I'm looking for help from someone who can buy one and send it to me by courier.

@vrrraju chose to disagree here , the Windtone horns do not have motors in them , in stead they have a diaphgram , inductive coils and a make and break circuitry. You will find motors in Air horns . Wind tone is not an Air horn ...But the the inductive coils still generate the back emf.

I may sound funny, but can't resist from asking. What about the blow horn alias Ponga?! (must have seen in the city buses / autorikshwas). I find them Pretty good for the following reasons:

1) It's sound resembles to the City buses (which requires lot of space). Thus the other road-users will definitely give way.
2) It doesn't pollute due to lesser decibels.
3) NO wiring & battery required. No more hassles. Energy saving too!!

Unsure why but could it be because I am using the supplied Stebel relay? Should I change to a Roots/PMP one? Or is it insufficient gauge wires used in the wiring?

Roots is louder and according to me sounded better. The bosch does not sound as crisp as I thought it would.

Hi All,

I recently brought Hella Supetone Horn Set for my Swift. It is going to be an DIY. I just wanted to know which is the best place for placing this horns. I will get the Pattis (To hold the horns) done from a local fabricator. Just wanted to know where I can place them.

I bought a pair of Bosch Symphony horns, Lispart horn relay and 20A fuse.

This is the basic wiring diagram of the setup, but I am confused about the 2 wires connected to the stock horn, as there is only one wire coming from the relay to the stock horn. Where should the yellow and green wire connect ?

The bosch horns have 2 terminals, how do I identify the postive and negative terminal ?

This is the Lispart relay I was given.

If unlabled, the terminal nearest to the tone adjusting nut is ALWAYS the positive terminal. In the above photograph, the terminal on the right is positive and the one on the left is negative.

If you can please exchange the mechanical lispart relay with a electronic sealed bosch relay which would have terminal lables as shown in the wiring diagram posted by shakensoul above. However if you plan to use the Listpart relay itself, the H terminal would go to the new horn positive terminal, the B terminal would go to the battery through a inline hanging fuse (30 amps) and the S terminal would connect to the exsiting wire from the original OEM horn.

Please remember that the new wires used would be automotive wires only (I prefer finolex 14 or 21 series) to mantain safety standards.

Thanks adheesh for clarifying. But I'm still confused as there are two wires connected to the stock horn right now(green with white stripe and yellow) and from the relay there is only one wire going to stock wiring.

Should I join the two wires connected to the stock horn ?

For wiring I am using Kalinga brand 1.5mm cables, hope thats good enough.
