Guru's
Few months back, I got installed the Stebel BP3 Horn in my swift car. I used the same components (Relay) which was given along with it. It seems that the installer has done some goof up during the installation.
They have just given on me, this happened when I gave it for servicing and after that day, it worked for some time and after that they stopped working. I am just wondering if it is only the relay which has given up or it is the entire system which has gone bad. He didn't place any fuse in between. I have to check if the blower is working fine.
Waiting for your chance.

Hi Raju,
I think the relay you have put in additionally has failed. Take you car to marutiASS and check If it already comes with a built in relay if so get the relay you added removed.

Hi Diesel,
This was connected in parallel, I mean as additional with a toggle switch between the Stock and the additional. Still my stock horns are working perfectly. It seems only my additional Stebel are not working. Need to check with the relay. Thanks and I will check them this weekend.

You stated that the horns stopped working after servicing your car. Water could be the culprit to spoil the horns.
Were you present while getting the car serviced? Check by replacing the relay only and remove the horn to see if there is water present in it.
Has anyone bought a Nautilus recently in Delhi or any other city? About 2 - 3 months back I did an extensive search in Kashmiri Gate, Karol Bagh, Khan Market and Palika Bhawan in Delhi but it wasnt available anywhere. Any update?

Hi Ankit, I was not present at the service, but since they are sealed unit except the horns which are open, but I am really not sure if the water could have entered through the horns.
One thing which I noticed was that my Sub woofer terminals were connected in reverse (the mono amp to speaker connections), but I am not sure how they are going to be affected. I will need to check that today and find out if the relay is working fine or not. Thanks for the suggestion.
Re: subwoofer, it won't be affected. The phase will be inverted - this will have some effect on the tuning and thus the sound, but there will be no real problems.
I'm having the Nautiluses in my Scorpio for quite some time, that have seen several services and atleast 3 monsoons. They are installed right behind the grill. Now they haven't given up on me and being sealed units water wouldn't spoil them. Now, all of this depends on how it was installed. If it was installed with the funnel facing straight then there is all possibility of water and other things entering and damaging the impaler.
This should be installed with the funnel facing down.

I recently brought a Nautilus as the impaler of one of the pair gave up and the unit started making asthamatic sounds. I think I was charged 700 for that.

Very much available. Just bought 2 pieces last week, from Kashmere Gate.
i feel the best pressure horn of all time were the fiamm red long set of 3 horns. i dunno the model name but the stebel nautilus is the most vfm and reliable now. i have been using mine occasionally and it has seen 2 monsoons and many services already without a cough
installed a pair of hella supertones ( red grills). cost 1350 for the speakers, 550 for wires, installation, dash switch. it sounds very annoying, and not significantly louder than the stock tata horn. oh well, i just hope its annoying enough to everyone else.
mounted right next to the foglamps. hope water wont be a big issue
I'm still looking for a Nautilus to install. The stock Civic horns are loud, but they are quite ordinary - not even pedestrians respond to it, let alone the crazy autowallahs and suicide cyclists.
Just got a Nautilus fitted in The Beast, specifically to guide the lost souls who hold up the "Tag" lanes at the Toll gate & then pay cash:D
Oh & also to help the two lane hoggers who refuse to move over when one politely dips & flashes one's lights :p
Got a set of Roots Windtone W90 fitted on my U-VA for Rs.800/-. Was I ripped off? Also, the installer insisted that I could install it without a relay. Its been on since the last two days without problems. Should I insist on a relay?

I think you had the right price and i would recommend that you install the relay ASAP as the horns do introduce certian harmonics in the electrical circuitry and the use of a relay will prevent these harmonics from harming you ECU and other electronics gagetry.

The relay is a must, as you know that the these Windtone horns will have the motors inside which are inductive in nature, they generate a kind of back emf whenever the current passes through these horns switches when activated. The relay is another switch which can carry much higher current than the switch which is placed inside your horn pad on the steering wheel. These switches can't carry the current and you may ultimately damage the switch inside the steering wheel with the sparks generated out of it. So as soon as possible try to put a relay in the path b/w battery and horn.
