My brother got his pulsar fitted witht he Unicorn mono-shock which didnt work out very well i'm afraid. The rear portion of the mud flapo used to touch the tyre when riding doubles. Even after adjusting the mono-shock to the stiffest setting this would happen. Also the height of the rear end increased considerably. So for the sake of easy getting on & off, I hope you are a tall.

hi there...

vikram_d, Well... the monoshock work is over now including slight modifications to the tail end to accomodate xma's tail lights! My mechanic was using the bike for the last one month to check whether any such issues pop-up after the initial set-in's.... I too test drove the bike and never felt any such problems due to the mod work!! Mine is 5'8" tall and felt real comfortable with the height settings... the bike is done with normal hieght settings only.. still no rubbing issues anywhere even with two jumbos onboard!!!

After such a long test stint... the bike is stripped last week for paint job!! I'll post the pics once it is back on the road!! I've completed almost all the mods I've listed here!! Now looking for Michelins front tyre with the same thread pattern as of thier rear tyre - Pilot Sport!! So far cudn't identify anyone who are dealing this!! I bot the rear ones from the local dealer here...but he doesn't have front tyre!!! Any infos with you??!!

Anyways... thanks for joining!!! Pl continue your comments...

Nikhil.

Hey nikhil,

Then I guess the guy who did my brother's bike did something wrong. Will check out your bike after you post the pics. Also arent Pilot Sports from Michelins for cars?

Hi there...

vikram_d, hmmm.... I too think so!! I'll post the clear pictures of arrangements done for mounting monoshock on my Pulsar. I think that will help you guys to cross check what went wrong!! Main challenge was in correcting the 'tail-wheel arch' to suit the longer wheel base due to unicorn's swing arm!! My mechanic done it almost perfectly!!! I'll explain all the works done when I post the pics here! Untill then.... wait buddy!!!!
Reg Pilot Sport..... well I think they have it for both!! YES!! I have seen 205 (OR 215..I dun remember) Pilot sport in hydrashok's Palio!! Amazing look man!!
cheers..

Hewy nikhil are you using 16" or 18" rear wheel? My brother has 18" and they touch the under side of the rear end even at the hardest setting of the mono-shock.

hi there...

vikram_d, Mine is with Michelin's Pilot Sport 130/70/17" on stock 17" alloys!! I never faced any problems during tests even with a hefty guy as pillion!!
In your bro's case, check the orientation of mounting monoshock assy....esp the top mounting!! monoshocks should not be mounted vertically I believe...!

cheers!!
