Thanks for that update Fullrevs. I have been thinking on the same lines regarding the handle-bar.

Hi Manish / Fullrevs ,
Thanks .
Since both of you have DS, let me ask you a query here. What all you do for maintaining the Matt Finish of the bike? Any Color protection coating or polish you apply ?
I am checking for the same for some time now.
Regards,

:) I used to have the same question. In the initial days I used a shampoo for a couple of times. Later, one of the service centre guys told me not to use even a shampoo. Since then, I do absolutely nothing for colour protection. Just occasional cleaning with dry or wet cloth. The advantage of DS is it can be managed with little maintenance on the cleaning part.
Regards,
Manish

These seats looks very good. From your post the total cost for Front and rear seat with the back rest is Rs. 3200/- Right? Also your crash gaurd is good. You got it from RE or after market fitment?

Ricky, the total cost was about 4k for me for the 2 seats and the backrest. But you can save a few hundreds on the backrest. .
Got the crash guard from RE itself.

All chrome work can be done at Kalaysipalyam or at Minerva Circle. You will have to inquire after reaching either of these places. There are a number of small shops in the bye lanes who do this work.
All Bullet spares can be purchased from Sandhya Auto on JC Road (take the small lane next to SBI Bank). This is a one stop shop for all Bullet parts.
Hi Friends,
I have recently moved to Bangalore and am staying in Electronic City. If someone can help me with leads to a good RE mechanic, I would be very thankful. Mine is the 94 Model.
Thanks in Advance !!
Does anyone know where I can get a stock (or custom) easy rider handlebar for a Std350 in Mumbai?
Rajkamal (Santacruz) used to stock one, but no longer does.
You'd think a city like Mumbai would have more 'bolt on' parts available for a Std350, or maybe I just don't know where to look.

If you live in Jayanagar / basavanagudi area, there is one excellent mechanic Narayan , near lalbagh. He was with madras motors , jc road and started on his own after it was closed.
He knows his Bullets very well and does a very decent job on standard / AVLd bulls.
He takes care of MY TB and many bulleteeers have migrated from madras motors to him. PM me if you need an intro / contacts to him. |
Hi W 12,
Is this guy affectionately known as Narayanappa and his shop is in the lane opposite to the Masjid in Lalbagh?
If yes, then I totally agree with you. He is indeed very good and honest as can be.
If no, then could the person you're referring to be someone else?

Folks, My TBTS 500 is now a year old. I have got all the free services done from Asco Motors ( Patparganj Delhi). However as the warranty is over I would like to know if there is a good mechanic in or around Noida as I am not too impressed with the mechanics at Asco Motors. Moreover, the attitude of the dealership employees also leaves a lot to be desired. |
Hi, were you able to get hold of a good mechanic?
Abeer,
I got the last service ( 6th) done at Shri Mahadev Agencies in sector 10. I have also found a mechanic in sector 28 ( near atta crossing) . His name is Tahir. However I do not know how good he is. I have not had the need to go in for any major work.
Any good mechanic for bullets in South Bangalore? Preferably on or near to Kanakpura Road?
Folks, bumping an old thread to get some suggestions for a good mechanic around HSR, Koramangala, Sarjapur rd area to service my TBTS 500. Appreciate any input. thanks!
Is there a consolidated list of mechanics in Bangalore? Of course I'm not referring to the RE authorised centers, which are not preferred.
Looking for a good one to service TBTS500
