Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

Oh god WHY?? Seems like Hayabusa, Ducati 999, GT650R and R15 v2.0 had a foursome!

To put forward 'atleast' a couple of good points. That bubble like screen looks promising and also 'hope' that the thinner rear end will look better than the ugly 'big bottom'-ed previous version.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

The front seems inspired from either the Hyosung series or from the Pulsar 220. Also, they should've installed a monoshock in the bike. That is must have. Overall, this bike is a big, big disappointment.

When we said we wanted a fresher and newer Karizma R, I'm pretty sure this was the last thing on our minds.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

Ha - Ha!! in your face H!! What were they thinking? its one ugly looking bike. And I used to think M&M Mojo was ugly, this thing takes the 1st place now.

And anyone wana guess? It will have the exact same engine with 0.01 bhp more and bunch of new stickers!
call it the Karizma +++ RRR!

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

I should quickly check my posts and check if I can delete whenever I have mentioned Karizma was the bike which first took me to Motorcycling nirvana.

OMG! What have they done with it? Mojo's designer will be proud of his work.

I hope the abomination doesn't see the light of the day. This single handedly destroys the reputation of the brand Karizma. For the first time I feel bad that they didn't stop with a sticker job.

If EBR was involved, (or whoever was involved) - This is what happened to Hero:

Coincidentally, the head-lamp assembly looks like the 'namam' too.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

So apart from the added comic look nothing else changes
-no mono shocks
-same skinny tires
-Hyosung GT650R + Bajaj pulsar 220F= New Karizma ZMR
With time other manufacturers improve their bikes. But Hero likes to ruin them. The Karizma R is anyday better than the ZMR. The same implies to the CBZ Xtreme. The older CBZ was really good. So every time there is a news about some upgrade/facelift from hero to their products, We should be ready with Facepalm memes.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

Nice styling out there. By the looks of it looks like inspired from the ducati 999. Hope that those are projector headlamps. But they are doing the same mistake which Yamaha did by giving skinny tyres with a bulky bike. And does anyone know the exact specs on this one?

I have seen recent ZMR's have whitened glass on rear indicators (looks snazzy). Was that the old design?
that was just the minor update on old karizma. this is the full facelift

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

And this is what the hero r&d came up with? I'm pretty sure no design house has worked on this. Hope they haven't short changed the mechanicals department with "cheap" upgrades.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

This one looks really ugly . If hero is going to compete in the market with this one it will end up in a tragedy for sure . How can any one compare a duke or CBR with this one .

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

As a Karizma R owner, I feel horrible looking at this abomination. Looks half-baked and half-hearted. They're just staying true to their legacy. And they claim their R&D came up with this?

Along with an updated ZMR, the Karizma R also gets a 'facelift'.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

I am not at all impressed by the looks, and I am a 100% sure that specs will also disappoint.

Hero needs to do some brainstorming, rather than this mixing, copying job that they are doing.

Such an ugly headlamp cluster. The dual lamps one over the other (cannot copy the projector setup of p220)? What were the designers thinking?? How does stuff like this gets passed by the management/officials at Hero??
And those indicator (or pilot lamps) look like a straight fit from yester-century's Adreno fx...lol
And we wanted ZMR to lose some bulk, now it looks like a skinny guy trying to put on heavy clothes. Gosh, ZMR was better than this.

I owned the 2006 zma, one previous to zmaR. All I can say is it had one of the best engines a bike could have in that segment. Totally relaxed and butter smooth engine. And looked awesome also. But looking at this one I am totally disappointed. It just looks ugly! I sometimes regret selling my zma.

Re: Scoop! 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR

Too many cooks spoil the broth. Too many "inspirations" influenced this design.
P220 inspired headlamps look horrible.

They should go back to their sticker jobs and adding adjectives to model names.
