Waiting. Just yesterday my RE sales advisor called to recheck on my booking; I told him that I will only confirm the sale (and the model) post the test ride of the Jawa duos. Which he ruefully acknowledged, that will take some time.

I tried checking my settings for PM, and it keeps saying that only people who are on my buddy list are allowed to send PM to me, and I cannot figure out how to get that changed.

Anyway, the bookings are being taken at both the dealerships I visited - Bullmen motors on Trichy road, and The Royal Enfield store at Peelamedu. It doesn't show on the online booking list, as they do not have the facility enabled yet I suppose, but bookings are underway in most of the dealerships throughout the country.

Booked a Red Jawa 42 this week. Hope it would pull me back to biking. We had the most enjoyable motoring days on an Yezdi CLII. Things were blissful and care free then.

However am hoping that the sound will be good. Else it would be a deal breaker. Very keen to lay my hands on the bike. Will keep you posted. Cheers

My uncle had a 1970 Jawa back in the early 90s and it was very simple, rugged and reliable. The exhaust note still was beautiful unlike the thump of the REs. I ride a Yamaha FZ25 now but tired of the restricted speed and bland package of the bike overall. I am short and hence believe that the Jawa 42 would be a great bike for those who are vertically challenged. Booked the motorcycle just for its brand, pictures on the internet and the Mahindra tag. Intend to fulfill the contract if the actual product looks as good in reality. To Al the Tbhpians who have booked Jawa motorcycles, "welcome to the hood".
