How many jawa’s do you people see on the road ? Till now I have seen 3 ( one 42 and two classic’s ) . I am really curious about the number of copies CLPL managed to deliver . The online media also doesn’t show much about these bikes now a days .

I booked a Jawa 42 in July 2019 through dealer after test riding. I was blown away by the ridebility and smoothness of its engine. After sometime the online delivery estimator got released and when I checked the delivery date it was showing somewhere in March 2019. Immediately went to the dealer and cancelled the booking, got the refund cheque after 3 days. Fortunately, found a used 2019 KTM Duke 390 on olx for around 1.8L only with 3K kms on ODO. Since, enjoying every bit of this new MAD machine.

CLPL to launch 3 more models under Jawa brand in the next 18 months.

“We want to create a decent-sized product portfolio. Three more Jawa bikes with different technology and engine configuration will be introduced in the next 18 months. We will be announcing more details on the product plan on our first anniversary on November 15, 2019,” said Ashish Joshi, CEO, Classic Legends Pvt Ltd.

I feel that instead of launching new models they should focus on reducing the waiting period to 2 months or below. The new dominar 375 had a waiting period of just one month.

If they launch the Perak, it will easily have a waiting period of 9 months.

Agree, new models can wait. Better in line production quality and lesser waiting time for bike delivery, is the need of the hour!!

Jawa cancels customer booking, after he fakes taking early delivery on social media -

On his Facebook post, 'the customer' says that he had booked Jawa 42 in May 2019 and got delivery in October. He also claims that Jawa delivered a dual-channel ABS variant when the actual order was for single-channel ABS.

However, Jawa Motorcycles has completely denied anything like this happening. Jawa has even posted an alert on its social channels, advising customers not to believe in such false allegations. The company said that the sole purpose of such posts was to “create panic and confusion among customers”.

Jawa further states that they have investigated the matter and found that the actions of the individual concerned were “intentional and designed to spread confusion and ill will”. As a result, Jawa has gone ahead and cancelled the booking done

Dear all,

I booked my Jawa on 16th December 2018, and it finally arrived almost an year later! Here are some pictures, next to my Classic 500. I haven't had a chance to ride it much beyond the ride from the dealership (Safina Motors, Bangalore) to home. Initial impressions are positive, granted that I got back to Motorcycles after almost 3 decades and my awareness is rather rudimentary in terms of comparison to other bikes. We got too many admiring stares from other riders in the short ride back home. However, riding the Classic 500 (2016 model year) after the Jawa, I would take the Classic 500 any day over the Jawa. The Jawa just doesn't seem to connect emotionally with me as much as the RE did.

Strangely, I just read this below news article a few minutes back - One owner claiming to have received delivery in just 16 days. Strange how Jawa can have such a huge variation in the waiting period.

Had a chance to start a Jawa, engine seems too muted and refined for an classic bike category, might be the reason for the missing emotional connect Will have to wait for Bs6 compliant Enfields to see how they feel in comparison.

@giri1.8 - You are spot on. The engine note was too muted and refined. The dealer asked me to wait until the first free service to change the baffle "settings". Granted that it will never sound like the 2-strokes of yore, but I will give it a shot to see if the exhaust sounds better, and report back.

With regards to BS VI, the news about imminent death of the RE 500 is tempting me to get a Bullet 500 (Forest Green color) before April 2020 and I could very well be sitting on a collectible!

A friend here in Delhi booked the 42 on 16th November and he got the delivery today.
