One Tvs guy asked me to inquire on Just Dial about their showroom number. :-l

I remember going to Harley showroom in Bandra sometime back and I openly told him I am just here to see the bikes. The sales guy happily and eagerly showed the bikes and also offered a test ride. While I agree that these guys don't have a huge foothold in Indian market like TVS and Honda but still the sales attitude matters the decision making too, these aren't commodity bikes after all, and lifestyle bikes have to be felt premium overall in my opinion.

It's not about them not being eager to sell, problem is that they don't have stocks. From my limited communication with dealers, seems TVS is the culprit, as no clear information is being sent out by them. Even in my ownership experience i have rated the dealer 2/5, the only two points he got was for, sticking to his commitment to deliver me the bike from first lot and i was impressed by the final delivery experience.

TVS and it's dealers both need to get there act together if they want to sell this product.

First custom Mod for Apache with Akrapovic muffler.

Akra on a 34 bhp single?

Single cylinders never sounded sweet no matter what aftermarket exhaust you run on. To me, that exhaust note sounds irritating(too loud) and God bless the guy who intends to do touring on it, he might end up half deaf.

I remember an R3 of a friend's, with an Akra slip on, it did sound sweet.

Dual is overkill, but akrapovic does have official full exhaust system for BMW g310r, so probably we might get it for apache too.

The carbon Fibre one actually reduces the weight by around 4.5kg,and helps in 2 bhp bump for the Beemer. It sounds decent too.

Still no sight of second lot bikes. Is the same delay for other cities as well ?

I got to know from my dealer that 4 more have come today, he has already delivered close to 20 bikes.

Visited the apache showroom to check out the bike physically. A few observations
1. The bike is much smaller than it looks in the videos.
2. The pillion seat is worse than the R15
3. Fit and finish is OK, not great. No where close to Kawasaki. I would rank it even below the 2017 Duke. A lot of panels looked to be of weak plastic.
4. The instruments cluster has a lot of features but doesnt look impressive.

I was looking forward to the bike but somehow didn't click for me. :(

How much bigger can a single cylinder 300 get?

For the Bangalore team bhp meet - we had one RR parked next to a CBR650F and the little TVS was pretty close enough in terms of size.

Deciding against a bike without test riding it is like rejecting a food dish just by looking at it without even tasting it.

1. Apache RR 310 is big for a 300cc. It dwarfs the RC 390 and it is bigger than the CBR250R.
2. The fit and finish is acceptable for the 2 lakh segment
3. Kawasaki's are twice as expensive

Please do a test ride, feel the soul of the bike, you may even like it. :)

How annoying do to the vibrations become when you're trying to cruise at say 105km/hr?

I had the Apache RR 160 many years back. It was fantastic bike but the vibrations..

Vibrations between the RPM range mentioned is true because of the single pot of course.

Although the bike is equipped with rubber mounted hand grips and foot pegs; you will still feel the buzz.

They changed it after launch, in this case to save on some taxes, if the bike is above 2 lacs, taxes are much higher.

This is the price only in Kerala.

The reason is to put the bike in the 10% road tax slab instead of the 20% road tax slab for bikes that cost >2L.
