Good you clarified 1000 kms in the RE twins is definitely doable. Did that ~5 years ago; and could have easily gone another 200 kms before the day ended.

2000 kms in a day - and you would have easily got the #IronButt certification (link); but the average speeds would have been definitely eyebrow-raising levels for sure.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Hi Expert,

I am facing serious issue with battery discharge. If Bike is kept idle for more than 2 days, it will refuse to start. Thanks to Bosch C7 and power plug in my parking, the charging is not a hassle. To ease of charging, I have also put battery connector cables to both both battery terminal. You need to just open the seat and connect the charger.
Service center failed to diagnosed the issue, got the battery and RR unit already replaced. Please advise, if I need to escalate to Royal Enfield or any other relay or sensor need to be changed. Please share the part number.

Before i do that i wanted to hear what you folds think? Could the mods have contributed to some sort of an issue with the engine?

Please help!
The mods you have done cannot cause oil burning. But considering the mileage and age of the bike, when did you last get the valve clearances checked and adjusted?
Have you checked the oil level yourself or left it to the service center guys who honestly couldn't care less? It could also be too much oil (overfilling).

No.
If you see smoke every single time, you have a serious issue within the engine (Whichever is the affected side). That said, its unusual for wear of this kind to take place so early for this engine. This is a dependable and well made motor.

The fuel economy you get is largely down to how much twist you've dialed in. To get 19kmpl, you are running well past the ton!

I salute your endurance abilities with this motorcycle. I can barely get to 500km and I want to get off the bike. Its that bad for me. Its not just seat comfort alone. Its down to the general riding posture that I find tiring over a period of time. Also, I find that as you get tired, you start feeling the weight of the bike more, which I guess is natural due to fatigue setting in. Its a bit more pronounced on the Interceptor (compared to a Bullet)
