Oh oh, so Honda has made it troublesome to remove something which most owners would remove on day one. Don’t recall any other manufacturer taking this route before.

Maybe you could cut it off a little further away from the weld, file the rough edges properly and put a fitting rubber bush (so it doesn’t hurt or cut if touched) like the kind we have on chair/table legs.

Do post your work around if/when you get to it.

Cheers

After using for long, I can definitely confirm the MRF tyres grip very well. In fact a few RE owners in my group, after trying mine, will be getting a 'Honda upgrade'

No, you do not need to saw it off. You just need an allen key. Remove two bolts and its off.
Please check the top bolt position marked with a red circle. This is covered with a rubber bush and may have given the impression of welded joing.

Enjoy the sound of the CB350. Use your headphones.

CB350 is available at Royal Brothers, Bangalore for rental. 75Rs /hr, for anyone who would like to rent it for couple of days and do a long ride, before you make your bookings.

Congratulations on your bike, looks really good.

Did not understand your post, do you mean that they are updating to MRF tires or getting to Honda bikes.

Thank you. Yes, updating to the alloys and tyres. When that's available

Wouldn't fitting the alloys be a tough job?? Not sure if the PCD of the sprocket and disc will be the same.
Anyways please do update will be an interesting space to watch for.

Well, it's not available as yet. Once it comes the fitting will be attempted

Sebring, most of the Royal Enfield's these days come with OEM alloys and these are also available as official accessories. Maybe your friends can just pick up these alloys instead and slap on the MRF tires that come with the CB350? That will eliminate all the trial and error.

Royal Enfield alternates between MRF and Ceat tires. Possibly the MRF might have changed their compounds now but the tires I had for Thunderbird was very poor.

Back in 2013 if I remember the year right

It's been quite some time since I have tried them on my motorcycles. When I had to choose between the Ceats and MRFs for my Continental GT 535, I asked around quite a bit and based on overwhelming feedback, I went with Ceat tires, twice.

It looks as though MRF has upped it's game in the last few years when it comes to motorcycle tires.

There's a lesson in how 'not' to ride your big single thumper! He's needlessly over-revving each gear well beyond the torque peak with little meaningful gains other than more noise.

The way to ride this bike is to short shift the 1st 4 gears and let 5th gear do all the work.

Love how free revving it is.

Early really to comment but if this engine can be revved like this cleanly through the gears without the fear of braking something or the dreaded grrrrrrrr ratatatatat ....

Then a lot of tired Bulleteers will be switching over. All the look and the sound, without the hassle.

Cheers, Doc

Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh (page 6)

I booked CB 350 online on 31 October. At the time of booking, got the message that somebody will contact me but nobody (from Honda or the dealer Gurugram Bigwing) contacted even after 15 days. So gave miss calls to Honda on its number 9958223388 for any update on booking but got no response so far. Probably, these folks are overwhelmed.

Dealer has mentioned around 3-4 weeks. So, waiting continues.
