0. TVS-SUZUKI AX100 - 1987, after i knew to pedal a bicycle, my bro taught me to ride a bike on this bike which was bought by him.
1. 1998 -2003: Suzuki samurai - My first very own bike. I always wanted to buy a shogun, but my parents never allowed, so ended up in a NO problem bike, very true.
2. 2003 -2005: Bajaj Pulsar DTSI - this was the first DTSi (in180cc) from that showroom.

Now i dont drive anything since i moved to singapore. I miss all the motoring fun!!

Purchased my first bike in July 2006. I ride a 98-99 Honda CBR 919 Fireblade. Its pearl yellow with black flame like stripes. Hoping to get my hands on a Valkyrie F6 in the future..

Hi All,

Here is my list:
1. Hercules MTB bicycle (93 - 97)
- Still going gr8, my neighbour's son uses this now
2. Dad's Bajaj super (97-99)
- Still in working condition, this was bought in 88
3. RX135 4speed (99-03)
- In use, dad started using this when I moved from my home town
4. Kinetic GF 170 Laser(03-06)
- almost reduced to junk, works sometimes but if something fails then have to run around a lot for parts etc. and something keeps on failing

Now I have switched to 4 wheels as I have moved to US but thinking of buying a pulsar220 when I come back to India (if at all they launch it)

Took a break from bikes- went Gypsy crazy
returned to a Honda Dio (still there)
Now on a BMW F650! (Gypsies sold!)

Cheers

Wow...some real bike enthu's here with a lot of moolah goin spare! My own escapades will seem by far 'lame' in comparison, though we've had a lot of two wheelers.

2 wheelers in the the family-
1976 - lambi (Never rode this, mostly taken around by dad, was around 8 yrs old when this left the family....1980 born)

1979 - Old luna, before the TFR/TFR plus for mom to commute to college

1981 - Bajaj Chetak export model. Ultra reliable built like a tank, was in the family till feb 2003..

1984 - Luna TFR, same purpose... Was a faithful 'ghoda' for a number of years. I learnt motorised 2 wheels on this, touched a max speed of 58 kmph a number of times. Very reliable moped...

Bought our first car after this, so no more 2 wheels for awhile.

1996 - Little sister also starts on a moped for the first time (scooty is bought). TFR luna is sold.

1998 - LML select 2 for me. Lots of power (power being relative to what you've experienced in the past). Uncle's old bullet 350 also comes to stay due to health problems (his)

2000 - Suzuki Shogun for me, Kinetic honda for general use. Had 4x2 wheelers at that point.

2003 - Shogun goes, ditto chetak and scooty. New scooty pep purchased for sister. I get a pulsar 180 (non-dts-i wala)

2005 - sister upgrades to activa which IMO has a very comfy seat. Scooty Pep sold, ditto kinetic. No replacements...

2006 - By now I'm working away from home for more than a year. Sell off pulsar 180 after discovering my lil sister has discovered the joy of 5 gears and 16 bhp. Activa is still going strong, Select 2 mostly used by me for short range riding.

2007 - Planning on a bike again. Eyeing the new 220 dts-fi...

first "bike" was a 98 Hero Honda Street...just loved that thing for its butter smooth engine and gearbox. I got it because my parents thought the Splendor was too big for a 17 year old and they also didnt know that the Street had the same power .

second bike was a 96 KB125....this one went from being boring "uncle bike" daily driver to a 10000 rpm street sleeper....this bike has seen atleast 4 different cylinder barrel/cylinder head combinations, atleast 2 different carburettors, numerous changes to the disc valve and the final gearing, and I've lost count of the number of expansion chambers I made for it (probably about 7 or 8)....all in a span of 1.5 years...this is when "The Pipefather"was born and no RX/CBZ/Pulsar/karizma in Mysore was safe. The feeling of wiping off smirks from the riders of these bikes was something else.

(MODS: i still have this bike & I dont mind thousands of people seeing the number plate)

third bike didnt belong to me, but it played a major role in my life at one point as a "project" so I'm including it here....it was a Jawa 350 Twin....

After being a "cager" for the past 2 years I'm looking to get my 4th bike...probably will be a 600 sportbike/sport tourer like a Katana or Bandit.
