R15 redlines at 10,500 RPM and tops out at 12,000 rpm

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Will post better pics soon.

Wichu - The bike has done only 750kms now as I joined my collage and have not taken the bike with me.

Aagoswami - The bike is awesome in its own ways. Will give a detailed comparitive report soon. But guys let me tell you , The bike handles a LOT better than any other bike but its not that powerful, just the 220 standard but the bike is not just about power, its something more!Top speed I acheived as of now is 125[with pillion], hope to do more.

Will be doing the 1st service this weekend. Someone advice me on which oil to use,Iam planning to replace with Mobil 1 5W 50 fully synthetic oil.

hmm Thats an interesting piece of info. I haven't ridden the R15 but somehow I feel its not as powerful as the P220, it may be faster but certainly not quicker than the P220

Am glad you asked as not many differentiate between the two.

Faster refers to top speed & I believe the top speed claimed for the R15 is more than that of P220. Quicker refers to acceleration & pickup.

What we say usually is 'quick acceleration times' and 'the R1 is faster than the Gixxer'. Hehe, kya karoon I'm a Yam fan!

need help !

Guys ! need your suggestions on the following :-

I want to fit an anti theft security system on my bike and change the factory fitted horn as R15 comes fitted with a single weak horn , but when i talked to the yamaha guys , they told me that if i install any third party product on my bike the warranty would be void , he said that soon yamaha would declare some third party products as authorized parts , and i have to wait till this happens. , can i get any help on this ?

another question is , is any R15 owner thinking about broader tires for R15 ? please let me know if there is any positive answer for me .

Hey tumbler,
Am planning for an R15 that's why, was Just Curious on the R15 if you have ever ridden an Enfield.
If yes, which one has the better feel and what are the differences you felt???
I know they are totally different but still...
