My bike has done 1180kms and got the 1st service done today.. And it sure feels a lot smoother and less noisier now.

And has anyone fitted a 120 rear tyre on the bike?? If u notice, the OE 100/80 tyre itself sits very close to the swingarm. So most people say its kinda doubtful if a bigger tyre can be fitted onto the bike..

And can someone recommend the correct upsize and brand of the tyre..plus the approx. cost if possible..

karthik247 : no doubt the OE tires sit close to the swingarm you can still upsize by replacing the rear with 120/80/17, i changed mine with MRF zapper & the tire costs you around 1900/.120 is the max u can upsize.

RuffRyder: i got the bike from pacer motors in infantry road, it was sort of instant delivery, you can try there.

--there was no such any issue with the bike , just some noise from the handle(lubrication issue i guess), and i requested for teflon coating as well
--have not ridden the bike much after that about 15kms or so
--i feel the bike has opened up a bit more(may be illusion ,cant say)
--but definatley feels more free now
--they changed the oil filter/and oil and also chain treatment
-- cost -- 550rs for coating,540 for oil filter,35 for chain cleaning, 140 for oil change.(all are approx)
-- will be able to given a better review after driving some more

Hi guys, HAd a small accident on my R 15.

Karthik - You can not only change the back tyre to 120mm but also replace the front tyre with the stock ones from the rear[100mm].

Wee,about the bike feeling smoother , I think its kind of more revv friendly, faster and eager now.Maybe I Replaced the oil with synthetic oil.
Also added a K&n filter and after that the bike is a bit faster and responsive.

Which Model filter went into the bike ? and what did it cost ? from where did you purchase it ?, checked the fuel efficiency yet ?
Asked for a test ride at Yamaha Cochin, they clearly said they don't give test rides !!! .

And Veelubhai go easy ride safe, anything broken , hope not.

What?
In delhi its 2 days waiting on cash, and 4 days on emi. haha
Day before yesterday only i had been to yamaha showroom for the bike details.

No doubt it is a comfortable bike.

I don't like the low horn for R15. Battery will allow us to change the horn to the louder one?

Yamaha guys told me it is not recommended. lol because it can effect the ecu settings of the bike. Bloody Fools.

One more ques. guys,
People are talking about the tyre upgrades for R15. How much it will effect the handling? People are changing tyres just for the looks?

Really sorry for the really late reply.
The filter I have used is RC 1060.
Yes, there are some cosmetic damages for the bike but the parts are not that expensive.
The FE I get under really hard riding is around 33.

O
Yamaha guys are not fools.Atleast not the people who made the bike.

You should know that a certain psychotic tuner here switched over to HIDs from normal headlamps because the 2 volt drop was not letting his ecu function properly.

Not going into details, the car used to run completely different in the night when the lights were turned on.

Have any of you owners found out how much it would cost to replace a fairing panel on one side?
