Where in India did they shoot? With whome? When was it? This should give us some idea as to when it will be launched. I saw some pics but it looked like a racering bike. But HH & racing bike?????

Here are the boring specs! Yawn. What was HH thinking? Only 17.6 ps power and they claim 135 KMPH top speed. The original styling was good. Got it from Indian Auto Talk Blog Archive Exclusive : Karizma ZMR launched!

The new Karizma ZMR FI comes with the same 223 cc engine but now augmented with fuel injection which increases the power marginally at 17.6 bhp @ 7000 rpm with a maximum torque of 18.35 nm. Hero Honda also claims a top speed of 135 kmph.

The list of changes to the new Karizma include:
* Full Fairing
* Split Clip On Handle Bars
* Split rear grab rails
* New Colors
* PGM-FI (Programmable Fuel Injection)
* Mirrors mounted on the fairing
* New rear mud guard
* New headlamp and tail lamp which are now LED
* Fairing mounted front indicators
* New Graphics (Traditionally Hero Honda)
* Slightly reprofiled body work
* Gas Charged Rear Shock Absorbers

Price is expected to be 92,000 Ex showroom

The front styling looks pathetic! After seeing the link i thought its a picture of a new Apache at first and then .... Oh no!!

17.6 PS?? You gotta be kidding. I would be really happy if can get a rear disk fitted from the ZMR on my ZMA.

The bike looks absolutely pathetic compared to the older version. They should have retained the looks of older Karizma like Honda does for their VFR. The new looks makes this look like a bigger sibling of CBZ Xtreme with fuller fairing. :(

The new bike is approx 9 kg heavier than the old one..The previous zma was already heavy at 150 kgs. Expect drab acceleration figures. HH has goofed up again!

Even with this slight increase of power ,new ZM-R will Get Customers.Well ,it got a long Stroke Engine Perfect for touring along with that 223 CC Engine Which won't Strain.PGM-FI will make the throttle response very proper(Crisper).Mileage will be Better.Full Fairing Helps in Cooling Better(While Riding).Oil Cooler is also there according to what I read online.

Gripe is some 10kgs are More on this Bike Making it 160kgs of Dry Weight? Almost Weighs as Much as a RE Bullet.The Bhp and Torque Figures Expected are at 19-20bhp,but it is NOT.Fine.

Here's a more recent picture I found. Honestly, I see more people walking towards the YAMAHA showrooms after this launch.

On a bigger note, I think HONDA is killing off HERO HONDA slowly by starving it off models. It should split away and get together with some renegade chinese bike makers to flood the country with exotic stuff from China. Ya Chinese quality is bad, but HERO can bring in their decades of experiene and clean up the mess

I'm not sure about the validity of the above statement. But the Bike looks mean. They could have done much better though. People would like to take a look at Yaam's offerings too, for 92K.

While I too am a bit disappointed I wont say it would be flop besides I need to see it in person to be able to comment really on the looks.

There are many people who put clip-ons & full fairing to the ZMA (atleast in Pune) so this would be natural choice to them & Fi will give them boasting rights to.

Also how does the FI really benefit this new ZMA.

I rushed to the forum as soon as I read the news in TOI. I guess the Fi might make a difference but will reserve my judgement until someone takes a TR and pics.

They have copied the headlamp off a Suzuki GS 150, which in turn has been taken from the new Gixxers.

The fairing looks like the one's we get in the aftermarket - ugly and badly designed. Looks like an afterthought and doesn't look in line with the rest of the bike.

Thumps down for now. But need to see and ride one first before i go running it into the dust.
