Re: Yamaha RZR.. dream come true It's been 4 years since this bike came to me. I don't use it on a daily basis and has done only around 5000 kms after I got hold of it. Still the adrenaline rush it gives me as the YPVS kicks, north of 7k rpm has not faded a bit. The bike now sports a Karnataka plate and is still a head-turner even when parked amongst superbikes
I have taken her to Goa IBW, Pondicherry and for numerous weekend rides in and around Bangalore. It's not been a cake walk living with the bike but I have enjoyed every bit of it.
I did not do any upgrades on the bike till now other than some cosmetic ones like the headlights and handlebar. Posting some pictures of some cosmetic upgrades which I did over these years.
The first pic I received on WhatsApp saying the bike is for sale. Who wouldn't fall for a bike in such condition!
This pic was clicked when I took the bike for a test ride in Goa.
The first thing I did after the bike came home was to replace the clip on handle bars as I wanted an upright riding position. The mask had to be removed as it couldn't be fixed with the new handlebar in place. It killed the looks but boy, the new riding position is to die for. Now it doesn't handle as good as it did at 120+ kmph speeds but I very rarely do such speeds on a bike.
Round headlights replaced the temporary square ones within a week's time
With his bada bhai. My 1985 RD350.
The Pondicherry trip. The bike now sports an all LED headlight.
Notice the crash guard fitted. I sold this crash guard to a friend later, a decision which I now regret.
The cockpit with the mask on
The cockpit when it's a naked bike
Squad goals!
When three legendary bikes from the YAMAHA two stroke stable decided to hang out together!
