Pardon me for asking, but if you do not feel offended, may I ask you how much moolah did you spend on buying and then restoring the Moped.

Power twin can you please post the link of your restoration thread.
WAS this FIRST Indigenous Moped or not is secondary for me, but I real feel guilty to to post the pics of The Moped which was produced in millions and ruled the Indian roads for more than THREE decades only under the " Flopped bikes thread"
Any ways, here is my Early LUNA (1972), commonly known as " Duck LUNA" , Crane LUNA, Camel Luna, etc..
LUNA, after is launch at 1972, slowly came down at various avatars like.. Luna TFR, Luna Super, Luna Plus , Luna double plus, Luna wings(a 30cc puny machine) etc...
Here is MY Crane LUNA (1972)>>

A leading link front Suspension as in AUTOCYCLE or VESPA Ciao***

Now She was restored to her stock glory, like this>>>

Any body intersted in knowing the Tech Spec about this LunAA ?????

Thanks Ajaybiz!!
You are right, for sure they wont, even if they had one....it would be lying some where in the Scrap bin

Till now none of their official website or Newsletter have revealed the exact date of production of their FIRST Baby.....moreover they didn't have a clear idea of their products, which will find a place in the Indian two wheeler market.....the only wise thing executed till now is "The 3 world record holder" Scooter Kinetic Honda !!...all others were " Happy goes Lucky " basis

But don't you worry, till now I have seen 3 of the Kokku Luna s among our friends, indecently he is a Tbhpian ( don't ask me....>>Who is the Gentleman??)

Luna 72.AVI - YouTube

Sir.. This is so wonderful. The luna sounds so cheerful and fresh out of factory. Congratulations.

By the way, a question. Was that the max. speed of luna or the driver was just being cautious?

Re: Indian Two Wheelers that flopped

I also had this Luna which was presented to me by my dad for passing bcom in first class.
Remember one incident when a policeman caught me for not painting anti glare (top half by black paint) when the light itself hardly reached ground.
It has served me for more than a decade before giving to some guy who needed it. Graduated to Chetak (still have that in working condition) may be mid eighties.

Just loved it. Wish I could buy 1.
