Barcalad and I thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday morning ride to Krishnagiri dam. Being an extended weekend, there was a good amount of traffic as we rode out of Bangalore but once we were crossed the usual breakfast points (McD and A2B) we were able to make very quick progress. After paying the entry fee of Rs 10, we took our bikes to the water front and spent a good hour or so talking and clicked a few pictures before moving on.

Soaking up the sun

On our way back first stopped to take a couple of pictures by the dam and then tried to locate the road that would take us to the other side of the dam but that was barricaded so we rode to the McD pump for a coffee, and boy, was it crowded or what?

The highlight though was this young kid who wanted to take a picture with the RC390 and then the Continental GT.

Is it just me or is his smile a lot bigger when he was standing with the Continental GT

All in all, a fabulous way to kickstart a three day weekend.

Has to go down as one of the best rides I've done. Right from the beginning, it was inch perfect. Not to forget the sunrise amidst the mist right after crossing Hosur, which showered the entire 6 lane freeway with it's beams. The early morning breeze (one of the reasons I took my open faced helmet) was a treat to feel. Kudos to Neil for being a perfect riding mate and bearing with my sudden stops to attend to calls, checking my sat-nav and water breaks.
Loved the way the kid stalked us all the way to the parking and cutely asked for permission.

Not to forget how we gatecrashed the Harley parking, where our two bikes were the only odd ones out and attracted a lot of stares (some angry ones), but then, we wouldn't care two hoots about it. Amusing to see the Harley 'bikers' more interested in parking their rides in the right angle and ensuring that curious people had a lot of photos to click as well as revving and creating a racket at a public place.
Either ways, it was an amazing ride, on an amazing road to an amazing destination. Recommend every biking enthusiast to visit this place once, in time to see the sunrise beaming on your helmet visor on an expressway.

Indeed. The photos have turned out to be really good, even though the sunlight did cause a lot of photographic problems! 2 of my friends already using the first photo as their wallpapers.
