You are right! Just confirmed it from another SA.
This is new for 2014 because till 2013 end it wasn't there.

Hi guys. One friend of mine is thinking of buying a used 328i , this car has done close to 15000 km and is in very good condition.
It's Registered one year back.
What should be a good price for it.
Dealer is asking 31 lakh which I think too high.

What is the place of registration?

I think looking at current price of the car (and there are no discounts on 328i) 31L is quite okay if the car is in very good condition and year old only.

If your friend is okay with 320d then that will come for around 25L for similar running and age.

There's one listed on BMW Indian website available in Delhi , I am sure you can haggle better rates . Do check if either of cars have BSI packages .

Thanks for the link. This car i am talking about is a Mumbai Registration.
I dont know if it will be possible for him to get the above car as it would be Delhi Registered. Will enquire for sure if the process of transfer is manageable.

Current Price for 328i in mumbai is 51 lakh inside octroi.

One more important concern is that the car he says was registered by BMW, in order to get some depreciation benefits for the use of some officials.
Or could it be some test drive or Media Car?
This is the reason he is little reluctant to go ahead.
How can one be sure of that.

possible , BMW does give Cars to their staff , normally these are for self use by Staff , nothing to do with depreciation in my opinion . If you see R/C or Invoice of such car , you will be surprised to see the value at which they bill from there marketing company to BMW India , it will be less than half the usual market prices . You can crosscheck on Insurance cover note as well - check IDV on policy
Given the fact that this is owned by BMW this won't have any BSI pack . These cars are maintained / serviced very good by dealers due to obvious reasons

Unlikely - but you can always ask them to get this confirmed by BMW India. Normally they won't sell by giving any wrong information .

Hello all. I am close to finalising the 320 d Prestige variant. I would like to know if there are any new updates for the 2014 car and i would also like to know that i intend to exchange the RFT for Tubeless tyres straight away and would like to know which tyres are best.

Just an update BMW dealer told me today all 3 and 5 will now with a spare space saver tyre free (part of the cost of the car). Thats a good initiative from the company considering people have been demanding them for years now.

Take a rain check on that. I bought one in Feb sportsline. Changed to tubeless. My dealer put dummy rft tyre numbers on my policy now I can't get a claim on Bmw secure advance and RSA. Talk to your dealer.

Thanks i will check up with my dealer, although when i mentioned it to him, he didnt flinch instead said use them for a year and then change if u dont like them, however using them for a year renders them valueless and who knows how many times i might have to claim a new one due to punctures or whatever, secondly he himself told me that for the X1 (yes i was considering X1 as well) that to change tyres to tubeless once warranty period of 2 years was over. Will recheck everything.

I am inclined for Melbourne red with red interior. What are your opinions?
What are the ex showroom prices currently? what discount is being offered to you?

Sorry, I think I got the breakup of the discount wrong! As, I am in Bangalore and my family in Kerala has booked the car.

The on-road price including 3 year BSI and Secure insurance was coming around 45L and after discount the price is 41L. So the total discount is 4L.

When I checked the rates in Bangalore, excluding BSI and Insurance they quoted 47L and after discount 45L
