Taxes extra ofcourse, but still.

Surely this must be cheaper than the A4, 3-series and the C?
Periodic maintenance for a 330i/320d is around 1 lac plus taxes for the first 5 years. And is similar with BSI if you are taking around 10k kms a year. You can check the exact breakup on the service cost calculator on BMWs website.

The 40k service seems really steep so the whole point of the first service being cheap is negated. Volvo service is not cheap and parts are not the cheapest or easiest to get in the market. Maintenance costs seem to be next only to Mercedes in this aspect.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ml#post5172262 (Now get a lifetime warranty on Volvo genuine parts)

Will this development help change the context?

I own neither brands, hence the curiosity.

While this is a very good initiative but it doesn't seem to show a great deal of goodwill from Volvo.

Yes it is better than nothing but Why don't the parts included with the car or replaced under factory warranty carry this lifetime warranty? Sounds more of an attention grabber than anything. Because other than wear and tear parts there are only rare instances of any parts failing repeatedly in these. That too within the ownership of first owner

Accountants have done their homework well

Very good point, actually.
Come to think of it, does anyone else provide this so-called lifetime warranty?

Please excuse the naivety again.

Re: Volvo S60 : Official Review

I saw the S60 recently and found out that the boot closing button is missing whereas in the reviews it is clearly seen that the button is present. The Sales Executive mentioned that the 2021 cars did not have that feature whereas 2020 model had it.

Re: Volvo S60 : Official Review

Hi,
I am seriously considering S60 as my budget is restricted 50L, initially thinking to get bmw 330i but it is not available, but only GL versions which are coming around 65L on road in Hyderabad.
I am wondering do we have any Volvo owners from Hyderabad, how is ASS quality.
What kind of discounts I can expect on S60.
Thanks.

Re: Volvo S60 : Official Review

The S60 T4 is discontinued in India, as of May 2022. I was informed the same upon enquiring with the local city dealership.

A shame to be honest, since the recent trend of C-class and the 3-Series becoming more expensive with every MY, the Volvo was a viable option for those considering one of the big-3, but felt they are too expensive for what they offer (myself included).

So, the car reviewed here has been discontinued? What is the replacement?

I have been informed that it has been discontinued indefinitely. Only XC40, XC60, S90 available from Volvo.

That's so sad. The S60 is a lovely car. The S90 is humongous in length even if someone is willing to splash the money for it. Their website still shows the S60 though?

That is not entirely correct, at least based on the information I have and the money I have put down. Its true there is no stock of S60 in India as of today. Unlike their XC series, S60/90 come as CBU and they expect their next shipment for S60 some time in August. Of course this is as per the information they had from HQ sometime in early April. They have also been honest about the situation being fluid and have promised an update by mid/late July. If you are interested in getting one immediately, Bangalore dealer had one unit in RED that arrived at their yard towards early April. I am not sure if they still have it but you can check with them.

I can also confirm this, my local dealer has informed about a month ago that the S60 has been sold out for one year, so it won't be possible at all to deliver before next year. Since the come as CBU, they might've now stopped taking bookings until they clear the backlog.

Re: Volvo S60 : Official Review

Anyone have contacts with Bangalore dealer? The sales person I was in touch with is not responding nor is their generic phone line person.
