For those who are interested, there is a head unit software update that fixes a few bugs, and most visibly the exit warning in the car which earlier had a funny message which spoke about not forgetting kids and engaging valet mode. Now thats replaced with a rather decent message: Attachment 2648290 |
Fantastic. Have seen this done by the same guy who worked on the 8k ops mode in Kushaq. The quoted price for the reverse camera is rather too steep. Curious how much did it set you back by.
The previous exit message about not forgetting the kids, I thought , was a nice quirk to see. I got the latest update last month, it's rather dull.

Camera alone doesn't cost much its just around 6k if you buy over Alibaba. Slight variation can be there based on customs slapped and shipping charges. Only issue is it also needs ODIS. If you get a camera that's already calibrated then the calibration problem is sorted and only basic coding needs to be done via VCDS or OBD11 etc.
Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo edition. Launching on 2nd September. Kudos

It is perfectly fine to take delivery of a 6 month old car. My Slavia too was a Mar’23 manufactured car that I booked in the last week of Aug’23 and took delivery in Sep’23.
When it comes to PDI, I just went to the stockyard to see the car in person. Never checked it for anything else.:)

This was also with the Skoda factory since the SA told me that the car has been recently dispatched from the plant. Assuming PDI is successful, is it ok to take delivery of a 6 month old manufactured car ? |
Congratulations on your Slavia purchase. 6 months old car should not be an issue as long as the battery was kept in disconnected state.
I purchased my first car that was manufactured 6 months before I got it. The car was good and ran in perfect condition for next 9 years.
Go for thorough PDI via Zekardo if dealer agrees to it.
How much discount did you get on your 1.0 Prestige AT?

I am already in touch with Zekardo. The SA agreed to let me do a PDI, the car has arrived at their stockyard too.
I am just trying to book a date when we can do the PDI, so waiting on that. The Prestige 1.0L AT's ex-showroom price was ₹15,54,000, so the discount was ₹1,55,000. This was provided by Skoda itself, they had a "sale" running on 24th August.

If I knew this was happening, I would have waited for it. I liked the MC variant because of the exterior styling, it also helped that MC was discounted by Skoda itself. Skoda :Frustrati

Skoda, would it have killed you to add the Monte Carlo rims from the Kushaq bro!!:Frustrati
It would have looked much much better, in my opinion!

The vehicle looks really really good. Even the top specs (I assume 1.5 models) are now getting black colour alloy.
Check the vehicle once. I am sure you will love the stance.

I think those wheels could have been made better. Maybe with a gunmetal finish, like this:
Or even the Clubber wheels from the Rapid Monte Carlo would have gone really well:

I know, right? Also, I find it weird that Skoda and VW are offering only 16 inch wheels on their sedans while their crossover counterparts get up to 17 inch options.

Great news. Finally Slavia and Virtus will have top end trims that are at par with each other. The Slavia Monte Carlo and Virtus GT Plus Edge variants will give a realistic options to the customer. Since these trims offer the best of both models, the comparison will be fair and makes it easier to make the final decision.
Also, this might just give the dwindling sales of Slavia a much required boost. Virtus has been dominating the sedan sales for the past few months.
Better late than never. Anyway, it's finally here and will definitely make a difference.
Officially unveiling tomorrow:

I think You've got really good deal! On carwale it shows 17 lacs ex showroom price for prestige 1.0 AT! Is this offer still available?
Revealed the Monte Carlo edition:
Booking opens at 5pm today!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nAAEMbT0jk&t=4s
Slavia Sportline:
- 25.4cm infotainment and sub-woofer
- electric seats for driver and passenger
- footwell illumination
-
electric sunroof with Anti pinch
The pseudo Sportline trims are similar to the ones offered in VW Virtus GT Plus.
Slavia airbags snapshot shows alloys from Kushaq Monte Carlo is incorrect. These alloys are not shown in Slavia Monte Carlo or Slavia Sportline.
Too bad that Skoda has discontinued Glossy Black and Matte Black shades now. These blacked out elements in Sportline would have given cool look to the black body color shades.
Let's see what pricing Skoda offers for these new updates around 5PM today
