Slavia in red looks hot, the only thing which I don’t like are the alloys, Skoda could have been more creative there. And Monte Carlo presents a choice for people who prefer dark interiors.

The LOUD red interior detailing on 'Monte Carlo' editions is overdone and out-of-sync with the overall classy understated design, plus the black alloys don't add anything to the looks. Gunmetal paint would arguably look fantastic!

A regular Slavia, in red or white, dechromed plus a few minor detail updates would look so much better than this 'edition'.

I have got a dashcam(70 MAI A810) for my 2 years old Slavia Ambition 1.0AT. Did DIY for installation and planned it power from rear ctype ports available for rear seated passengers.

Wanted to check if I can use ctype for powering the dashcam or it needs to be plugged in to 12V socket with supplied adaptor in package only.

The dashcam needs 5V/2A power to work

I have a dual dash cam which is powered by the C type port and it's working perfectly fine.

Also is anybody aware of power specifications of these Ctype ports fronts and rear

Looks fabulous aside from the upholstery. Feels a little cheap. Skoda, please slap some bigger wheels, tweak the steering, and a little more oomph to the engine, and bring out a VRS version.

I did the PDI of my Slavia 1.0L AT in Crystal Blue, in the stockyard today. I had one of Zekardo technicians do it. They gave me the green light with their inspection, they didn't find anything out of order.
The engine was apparently in Transit mode. So the revs and speed were limited. The technician also told me because its in transit mode, he couldn't inspect any of the sensors. He did all of this by using his OBD dongle. He told that the dealership will unlock the car post payment (which I will do tomorrow). The guys at the stockyard told me not to drive the car at all. Although they drove it for a tiny distance so that we could do the PDI in broad daylight.

Is this normal ?

P.S. I saw a so many of Taiguns and some really old Slavias and Kushaqs in the stockyard gathering dust :Shockked:

Skoda has also introduced the Slavia Sportline at Rs 14.05 lakh; both get cosmetic changes outside and inside.

I still don't understand the logic behind Skoda skipping the sunglass holder on the top trims. Initially, I thought that must be due to the placement of sunroof buttons. But now the sportline gets a sunroof and sunglass holder while the prestige and Monte Carlo misses the latter.



Also, Skoda has removed all 1.5 TSI manual trims :disappointed and added rain sensing wipers to the mid-variant.

Now all manual fans should be confined to Taigun/Virtus.

It’s ironic that even the sportsline or Monte Carlo variants don’t get an 1.5MT option. As an ardent petrolhead, that’s a shocker when I realized the fact 1.5 now comes only with the problematic DSG now. Any idea when can we expect the manual 1.5 MT mil back in the showroom? If not, I might have to go to a showroom with a different logo next year sadly!

That’s great! It is normal for the car to be in transit mode. This is done by the manufacturer to ensure the car cannot be driven beyond a certain speed and for safety of the car.

When I went to inspect my Slavia in the dealer yard a year ago, there were close to 60+ units of Kushaq and Slavia in the yard. I even had almost all colours and variants at my disposal to choose from. :D

Is this the one that was doing rounds in spy shots of late? Or a proper facelift is anticipated by the end of the year or early next year?

I just bought home the Slavia 1.0L AT a few hours back. First car excitement is coarsing through my veins and it has been a long day.
One annoying thing I found is the Auto start-stop getting activated quite frequently in B2B traffic in Bengaluru. The engine turns off if the car is idle even for a few seconds, presumably for FE and gets switched on when I press the brake.

1. Is this normal ? Even in crawling traffic it was getting switched off which was annoying. Will it harm the engine ? This happened when the car was in D1 and N mostly in crawling traffic.
2. Is there a way I can turn this feature off ?
3. Unrelated question but is there an optimal position for putting the L sticker on a car ? For rear windshield, should it be on the right or the left side. For front, it would be on the top left obviously.
