Assuming the term near future is the next 6 months, no.

I believe the First Gen Brezza was launched in 2016 and got a cosmetic facelift in 2020 (I think they played around with the engines too). Going by that logic, the Second Gen Brezza launched in 2022 might not get a facelift before 2025 or 2026.

This, of course, is pure conjecture and we never know what might trigger a facelift to be launched.

Can someone tell me what the O/D OFF used to do in 4 speed AT and why it's not there in newer 6 speed AT?

To the early 1980s, three-speed automatic transmissions were common. Their top gear — 3rd — was usually direct drive.
As fuel economy became more important, manufacturers began adding a higher 4th gear that made the input shaft spin slower than the output shaft. This would leave the engine running more slowly — and more economically — at higher speeds, and this 4th gear was called overdrive.

This is usually activated by a button and usually is only activated on 3rd and 4th gear (on a 4 speed transmission). Pressing the O/D button allows for high speed cruising at lower revs which is more fuel efficient, quieter, and easier on the engine. You can then press the O/D button again to deactivate the overdrive to overtake by engaging 3rd gear.

Running on the higher gear would sometimes overtax the engine on uphill grades, disengaging overdrive on up/down hill will keep the engine to run on lower gears(3rd gear).

Furthermore, on a long downhill run, using 3rd gear(disengaging overdrive) would slow the car due to engine braking, which reduced the need to use the brakes to keep the car from building up too much speed.

Some automakers have added the O/D off button to allow the driver to lock out 4th gear and hold the transmission in 3rd. This can be advantageous for acceleration, even on fairly level ground when carrying heavy loads or towing a trailer.

Hi All,

I am planning to purchase Brezza vxi Blue color

Below is the quote given by dealer in Sangli, Maharashtra. What all amounts from this quotation can be reduced apart from Insurance and Coating

What is the issue with Blue color. Recently my friend from Pune waited for six months to get a Blue color Brezza zxi+ but dealer could not deliver it. He went with Elevate.

For me too dealer is asking 50K as non refundable amount If I want blue color. Has anybody from this Forum got a blue Brezza.

Sorry forgot to attach the quote from dealer

As per your post you have obtained quote from dealer at Sangli.
Sangli has two dealers of Arena so get a quote from the other to compare.
https://www.marutisuzuki.com/dealer-showrooms-in-sangli

For fastag do you have in your other car then can get another one for your new Brezza or if you are selling your old car then can cancel the old one and get a new one from your fastag vendor(your fastag account remains same).
For accessories check in brochure below what is included in your variant.

What is Rs 45500/-? Accessories package - Metroscape/Terrascape?
For alloys is the dealer giving you at an extra amount or you have to get it yourself?

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

I have a query regarding my 2018 Beezza but can’t post this question on previous gen thread due to low members activity in that thread.

I have a 2018 Brezza ZDi + AMT , Km Driven 50,000 , This vehicle has been driven by just one person. The problem is that in beginning I was getting about 16kmpl which declined over the years till as low as 12kmpl. Although after last service I am getting around 15 kmpl which I think is still low as compared to other users using the same model. On highway the maximum mileage I got is 19kmpl whereas my friend which have same car but with manual transmition gets around 18-19 in city and upto 23 -24kmpl on a highway. I tried asking People from Maruti's workshop crew regarding this but they were of no help.
During these 5 years I have also tried switching to different fuel pumps but didn't help.
Is there a way to improve the mileage ?

Fuel economy is dependent on many factors - How you drive the vehicle, whether the vehicle is periodically serviced and tuned and if there are no mechanical/technical issues.
Since you have recently serviced the vehicle can rule out point no two.
Have you replaced the fuel/oil filter and cleaned(replaced if needed) the air filter? Also have you balanced and aligned your tyres and maintaining the recommended tyre pressure? None of your injection valves is clogged and spark plugs performing to their optimum. Also as per your comment about switching fuel pumps can you recollect which pump(HP/BPCL/IOC) you got the best fuel average then stick to it.Since last 15years I have consistently used BPCL(Density remains same and less maintenance of the engine) pumps first in my SX4 and now Brezza to get optimum FE. So now that leaves how you floor the pedal(accelerator). I hope this helps.

Agreed Bharat Petroleum fuel gives better mileage for my Brezza also.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Hello All,

Wanted to give 1 year update on the ownership review of my Brezza 20222 which currently has 17,011 KM on the odo.

The 1st post on the purchase and initial impressions can be found here:
[url="https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/official-new-car-reviews/253943-2022-maruti-brezza-review-37.html#post5470258"[/URL]

There is nothing much to update about the overall performance as I am very satisfied with how the car has been performing. No issues encountered over the last 1 year and hope it stays the same for years to come.

Will be very precise and to the point. Let me know if anyone has any questions or would like to add depending upon their driving observation of the Brezza.

According to me the best features of the car in order of my personal preference:
1. Smart Hybrid and auto stop start.
2. Hill Assist as I did not have it in my previous cars
3. Head lights compared to what Maruti usually provides in their cars.
4. Seating position and comfort in long drives.

According to me the useless features or what should improve:
1. Sunroof a completely useless feature at least for me. Haven't used it even once.
2. Wish Maruti would have provded the 6th Gear. On highways really feel the need of 6th gear.
3. Wish there was more boot space. For the overall size of the car the boot space should have been better.
4. Need of MGP aftermarket arm rest. Have followed up with multiple dealers in Chandigarh but none have the Zxi arm rest.

I have driven the car with 4 occupants and full boot but really never any performance issues. These were Highway drives though.

Now for the pictures of the odo and acar app which I use to track my car:

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Hello All,
I completed one year on August 2023 of my Brezza Zxi+ AT 2022 which currently has 23010 KM on the Odo and getting FE of 16kmpl in city with traffic and 21kmpl on highways at the speed of 100km/hr.

I have driven the car with 4/5 occupants and with full boot.Mostly my journeys were highway rides but have gone on the hills and ghats and in full rains but really never had any performance issues.
Periodically got it serviced as per the manual at the authorised dealers and also purchased an extra 4yr service package (1st at 20k kms which I used the next at 30K and then at 40k kms) apart from the extra warranty that I had purchased with the car.

Since I used to drive SX4 Zxi before upgrading these features helped me as I did not have it
1. Smart Hybrid and auto stop start great in traffic and gives good FE
2. Hill Assist, HUD, Auto rear view mirror(day&night).
3. Head lights with auto feature and touch screen audio(Smart PlayPro+ Arkamys)
4. Seating position and comfort in long drives.
5. Six airbags

*Sunroof a completely useless feature at least for me. Haven't used it even once.
*On highways need the spurt in power when overtaking.
*At present boot space is fairly good. But when car is full then need to juggle to adjust the luggage.
*Ventilated seats and easy to clean seat covers (present ones need cleaning regularly)
*Extra compartment like the old Brezza(below the cool one) for service books and other things. Presently have put them in a plastic folder beneath the drivers seat.
