Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

Don't know if this has been reported before, but I just noticed that the Creta 2024 facelift is too similar in external design to a Chinese car called the Chery Tansuo, particularly the front and rear. This car has also been rebadged as the Jaecoo J7 for parts of Europe. As far as my quick look-up online suggests, the Tansuo was launched before the Creta in 2023, so was Hyundai India "inspired" by the Chinese SUV for their Indian bestseller's mid-life facelift? It clearly is very different from how their international facelift looks.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

I'm getting my Creta delivered on 24th. The dealer is quoting 17k for hyundai dashcam. Has anyone got it installed? If so, how good is it?
Also, what accessories did you get from the dealer? Anybody got a guard for Sunroof to protect it from daily water wash ? Has anyone done anything about the huge openings in the front grill?

Did you check the dashcam output yourself?
My observation was that the dashcams installed by the showroom personnel are of a basic nature.
If they are going to plug into a 12V socket, it doesn’t matter whether you get it from the showroom or elsewhere.

For my Creta purchased couple of years ago, I only got basic mud guards and boot floor mat from the dealer. Didn't feel that anything else was worth the price. Got floor mats and leather seat covers from outside (mine is SX IVT which came with fabric seat covers).

I have installed 70Mai A500S pro plus+ dashcam (purchased both front and rear cams online and got it installed by nearby accessories shop). There are good quality dashcams available outside and as long it is connected with 12V socket, there is no issue. Not heard about Hyundai dashcams and 17k sounds like a steep price.

Mine is getting delivered tomorrow, 9th April. For me, they were going to install Blaupunkt dashcam which was costing me around 15k. But I did not opt for it. I would rather search for one online and then install the one of my choice.

Not heard about any such guard for sunroof. Anyone else, if know about it please share.

Regarding the huge gaps in the front grill, seems there may not exist anything yet to protect the radiator.

I am also planning to install a dashcam for my Creta.

1) I think 70Mai dashcam comes with battery. Have read that the dashcams with battery causes heat issues and then dashcam doesn't function well in such condition. The dashcams with Super Capacitor are better in heat management. What has been your experience so far?

2) Can it read number plates correctly in daylight (of course up to specific distance only)? And how does it perform in dark?

I am planning to buy 70mai A810, but read some negative reviews about bad experience regarding lag, slow download speeds of videos, buggy app, etc. How's your experience so far?

I'm taking delivery of our Creta 1.5 CRDI AT SX(O) Arctic White in a few days. Moving from an S Cross 1.3 Ddis to a Creta. Let's see what the Creta has in store for us.

I told the dealer not to put their brand vinyl sticker but they still did it nevertheless. Need to remove that. To be honest, it's free marketing. If they are putting stickers, they should give more discount!

Spoiler: It rained the very next day and its full of dried rain spots

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

Thanks guys for the valuable inputs. I have decided to get only Mudflaps and 3-D mats from the dealer.
Dealer pushed a lot for PPF or ceramic coating. I told that I have a 13 year old Ritz which has never been parked in shade and the paint hasn't faded. Is he saying paint technology has degraded in 13 years
Do post on this thread if anyone gets a protective film for the sunroof (I have a concern of water wash leaving spots in the long term) And if someone did something about the large gap in front grill.
Any place in Bangalore to get a screen guard for the dashboard (dealer said not available) ?

Image quality is quite satisfactory for both front and rear cams in night time.
I never had issue with my dashcam but yes, super capacitor based cams are better than LI battery ones in heat management.

Which color are you buying? You may not need coating for lighter shades. Though many folks have opted for coatings (PPF or Ceramic) for darker shades as it keeps it shining and may protect from minor marks. It depends on your preference though. Personally, I don't think it is worth the money but to each his own.

What is film for sunroof? I don't think you need any additional film. Sunroof is already tinted.

I am buying Emerald Pearl.. Currently own a Maruti Ritz in Fiery Red. Never faced paint fading issue. Scratches, well, they cannot be avoided in Bangalore.
Sunroof: I am not looking internal one for tinting. I am looking for some kind of film to protect the sunroof glass on the outside. Because, the water is very hard at the place I stay in Bangalore. And I am unsure if daily washing by our watchman might leave some hardwater spots on the sunroof glass in the long run.

True. Living in Bangalore has its own perks when it comes to random scratches/dents appearing out of nowhere That's why I don't want to spend too much on coating and rather get the car repaired as and when I need, at a fraction of the PPF cost.

Your car gets a wash everyday Most apartments in blr (including mine) have stopped water wash and we have to live with dry cleaning only. Even service centers are not allowed water wash. Anyway, never heard of such external film or it's effectiveness. Sunroof is always open to elements and supposed to hold up. Hope it is not merely a sales pitch by the SA.

Congrats. Which variant. I had also booked Emerald Pearl initially (SX-O, ivt), then changed it to Black. From Advaith, Bellandur. Which dealership you had booked with and the waiting time?

For me they said atleast 10 weeks when I booked in Feb, already 8 weeks over. No updates yet.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

I booked a SX(O) IVT emerald pearl in March 20th and got delivery on 4th April from Koncept Hyundai - Greenpark showroom, New Delhi , don't know whether I got lucky or if the availability has improved.

Been driving it, am impressed with the smoothness of drive and all he bells n whistles that Hyundai has packed into the machine. Currently am enjoying the dream machine , got PPF done from Ronnies Garage as don't want any scratches on this lovely machine

Congratulations! It is a lovely car and I can't wait to find excuses to drive it haha.

Questions for car enthusiasts from Kolkata: which is the best place to get good quality PPF done in Kolkata and does it make sense to PPF a white car? I have read at multiple places that oxidation of the PPF is visible easily on white.
