Since you mentioned Kushaq/ Taigun twins, may I suggest you to wait for a couple of months and have a look at the new Skoda sub 4 mtr SUV, the KYLAQ..It's been touted as a game changer for Skoda and comes with their potent 1.0 TSI engine.

I have also booked the 3XO and I spoke with my local Mahindra showroom sales manager yesterday and made clear to her that if I don't get my car in the coming month, I will be more than happy to cancel 3XO and book the KYLAQ. I have always loved the Skoda design language anyways and I would jump ship without blinking my eyes. Immediately the sales manager turned defensive and went on damage control mode and assured me an early delivery.

I am seriously considering Skoda Kylaq as it ticks all the boxes for me. A beautiful looking car with German pedigree, solid engine, great riding and handling, and affordable too as it sits below Kushaq and Slavia.. So, I am keeping my options very open now.

My 3XO booking is officially cancelled by the refund amount to credit card yesterday (full refund without penalties). Not interested in joining the 3XO queue at the end and start over again. I feel it is not worth waiting for several months, no matter what it offers.
May I know which dealer it was?

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Fellow 3XO owners (including those waiting for their cars like me),

Its been 4 months and no update on my car in Pune.
Any escalation contacts (from Mahindra's side) that anyone can share ? The dealer side 'Sales Head/Regional Area Managers' have no specific updates and attribute the delay to issues with Mahindra's production mix (which may be true to some extent based on some earlier posts in this thread). The Mahindra customer care is of no use and re-routes it back to the dealer. Any other way to escalate apart from twitter?

It was CAI Mahindra. The sales manager was upset with my PDI post and had an argument over a phone call stating they cannot sell the car anymore due to my post.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hey, anyone knows what is covered / not covered in the extended warranty / mahindra shield for 3xo?
I want to buy but want to know the coverage before purchasing.
Thanks!

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

I am thinking to wait for Skoda Kylaq now. The dealership (Sireesh Auto Silkbpard Bangalore) response has been pathetic. Mahindra has been unable to deliver my AX5L AT despite waiting for 4+ months now.

I suspect Kylaq will undercut 3XO significantly.

I have the same feeling. Skoda is hungry for a mass market car in India and Kylaq could be it.
With the underpinnings of a solid platform, good driving dynamics, potent engine almost at par with the M&M TCMPFi engine, better design language, similar safety rating and probably priced around 9 - 9.5L for base variant., the new sub 4 mtr Kylaq could undercut 3XO significantly.

And if Skoda gets really agressive in entry variant pricing (like that of 3XO, Basalt etc) then we will have a real challenger in this segment to tackle for other brands.

Spoke with the local Skoda dealer and was told Kylaq might arrive for display at showrooms in December, 24. Booking to start in January, 25 and delivery to begin by March, 25.

Now, time to wait and watch

Similar case for me now. If Kylaq has a compelling package may go for it instead.
Although with the recent news of Skoda and Mahindra partnership (link below) not sure how this would affect the Kylaq launch. There is no real 'segment overlap' in the Skoda and M&M portfolios, but Kylaq will break that by competing with 3XO. Since Kylaq is developed and will be launched completely pre-JV, hopefully M&M would not have any influence on it.

I know that we shouldn't be dwelling on Skoda Kylaq on an exclusive Mahindra XUV 3XO review thread. However with extended delays in 3XO delivery, I believe a section of the members interested in this thread are open to any available options and hence this digression from core subject of the thread.

I read an article on net that the first display vehicles batch of Skoda Kylaq could hit the dealer showroom by first week of November.

Earlier it was said that the display vehicles would reach the showroom in December..

So, it seems that Skoda is pre-poning it's introduction of Kylaq by a month or so.

I spoke with the local Skoda showroom manager who happens to be a good old friend of mine and was assured that I would get any and all the updates on Kylaq at the earliest. Let's wait and see, how this pans out.

Did you say wireless Apple CarPlay is available now for 3XO? This is BIG news if yes. Which model is yours? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hi everyone!

To begin with, I want to profoundly thank the community for educating me with your experience and expertise.

I took delivery of 3XO MX2 Pro Petrol Automatic (Stealth Black) on Friday the 13th of September. I booked mine on day 1 of bookings at my local dealership in a tier 2 city. Maybe the hypothesis that booking your vehicle in small cities could help in faster deliveries stands true, although waiting for 4 months with hardly any communication is anyone's idea of fast.

Some points I wanted to bring to your attention:

1. Beware of the in-house Mahindra finance. When asked, the agent told me that roi is 9%. I thought it was reasonable and asked him to send me the projected EMI. Somehow things didn't add up and the emi calculator figures were quite off compared to the numbers he sent it. Upon enquiry he asked me to put roi as 9.32%, it was still off and then he asked me to put in 9.79 and check. It matched. Accounting for the power of compounding over time, 9.79% & 9% are very different. Naturally I took my business elsewhere. Just recheck.

2. Quoted 62k for Insurance. I checked online and was getting quotes for around 28k including GST. When asked what is the difference between their own coverage and the one offered from outside showroom, they blabbered and said that in terms of coverage offered all are identical. I eventually got mine from oriental insurance for 31k. When I mentioned this, they were ready to offer me insurance for 38k. From 62k they came down to 38k.
I felt like this is the dealer's way of taking money in black by masking it in the insurance premium. Buyer beaware.

3. Odometer reading. At the time of delivery it read 115kms. The dealer explained that all their allotments come to their main dealership located at a city 90km away and gets driven by road to the showroom in my city. But they informed me about the one time provison of resetting the odo back to 0km if desired at the time of delivery. I asked them to reset it to 0km and so they did.

At the time of searching for a new car my criteria was very simple which is to buy an automatic that isn't an AMT or an EV. MX2 Pro was the 2nd buget option available when sorted on price. It cost me 11.76L on road. I wanted it to be an indian company as well, because dil toh desi h . Also I was upgrading from alto so any new car including a new alto is an upgrade for me so I wanted to take full advantage of that fact as well. Full respect to Lord Alto by the way

Hello run_sun. Congratulations on your new car. Looks great in black.

I had a similar experience with insurance. The sales executive quoted 64K before coming down to 39K. We all should be wary of these executives.

Many congratulations on your new car. Black colour looks fabulous. Thanks for sharing your experience and the additional information about resetting the odometer once was new to me.

Looking at the MID, I believe you need to reset the Time too. It's showing 3 AM and I am sure you didn't click the photo at that wee hour.

Drive safe and have a great time with your new XUV 3X0

Congrats on the new ride. Happy to see that Mahindra has started delivery of the base Automatic variants.

Can you please provide your opinion on the following items:

1. How is the performance of the android infotainment system? I guess i am concerned about its responsiveness and how maps perform on it. Didn't really expect Mahindra to provide a system different from the HD one in MX3.

2. How is the fixed seat height? This one depends on a person's height i guess. But in Bengaluru I liked being able to see the top left of the bonnet during the test drive through narrow streets(obviously that was the top variant).

Seriously, Mahindra should take a leaf out of TATAs book and do one better. Give an option to customers to book a variant with a sunroof or with the HD infotainment system, rear defogger and wiper and the driver seat height adjustment.
