Looks like M&M got their demand completely wrong.
I am not sure about Bengaluru deliveries of AX5L, but I have seen AX5L Petrol AT in Telangana registration data. Total 79 AX5L P AT registered in past 3 months and almost all colors are delivered based on RTO data. The table below shows count of AX5L P AT where rows show color name registered with RTO.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Does anyone know which dealer in Bengaluru has stock of the accessories for 3X0?

Also, what accessories have folks here fit on their 3X0?

I was planning to get:
  • Rain guards
  • Fog lamps
  • Parcel tray
  • Sun blinds
  • Scuff plates (don't think I would go for the illuminated ones...don't like the idea of someone fiddling with the electrical connections)
  • Bumper protectors (I see them in the brochure for the 3X0 published online - are these actually available?)
  • Dual channel Dashcam (has anyone fitted these in the 3X0. In my 3rd gen Honda City, I had done it myself but with this car and its 6 airbags I am not too sure)

Is it worth getting these from Mahindra? I sometimes hear of people getting better quality accessories from 3rd party manufacturers rather than the OEM.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Thought of sharing this post In case we find similar data for 3XO, dear friends do add

Velusawamy Sir from Mahindra mentioned using coatings on metal surfaces to block frequencies within the audible range of the human ear.
I have to say, I’m proud of Mahindra—they’ve beaten even Toyota by providing the best NVH performance, showing care for customer comfort

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is the best in this test, and the 3XO will be just as great.

Only at idle will its NVH be lower than others.

I’m a big fan of Toyota—they’re unbeatable in quality. Gods of Quality

But their cars are more like workhorses (Donkeys) —no style, no features, just reliable performance without complaints. (I like Donkeys also they are hardworking)

However, it's impressive that some companies focus on aspects like NVH, especially when even NVH experts like Kia and Hyundai don't perform well at highway speeds.

So, the Honda Elevate isn’t the worst after all.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hi, this is my very first post.
I had booked XUV 3xo MX2 Pro Petrol AT on 26th August but changed the varient to AX5 on 3rd October. I was mentally prepared to wait for at least 4 months. But I got a call yesterday from the dealer saying the car has been allotted to me and is in transit. I am happy as well as a bit suspicious as in how come I can get the vehicle allotted so early? The dealer said there was a cancellation by a customer and hence the early allotment. Is there anything to worry ?
I am wondering if manufacturer allows the vehicle to customer's name or to dealer and then dealer decides whom to allot?
Moreover, the dealer is not allowing any third party PDI on the car, has any dealer allowed this? I asked Mahindra customer care, they also confirmed it is not allowed.
Need insights from the experienced folks here.

Welcome! The market is overall slow and hence you might have got early delivery. Regarding the PDI, I did mine with a Pune dealer for XUV700 in March. They allowed it and cooperated for same. Be calm and just tell them that you have to do a PDI and then they should register the car with RTO. If they deny, just go to some other dealer. Anyhow if you wait until Jan, you get 1 year younger car.

May I know your dealer and if they did they allow PDI for electronics? When I asked Unnati Motors (Chandan Nagar), they are okay with physical PDI by 3rd party but said no to electronics.

Well, he might be telling the truth. Trouble is without third party PDI or at least a paint gauge meter of your own we can't really tell (their PDI can't be impartial because their own money is on the line).

I had actually made an enquiry for a new booking with a dealer in Bengaluru and got a call 1 day later saying they have a free stock Yellow AX5 AT Petrol in transit that has been cancelled by another customer. I did make the booking on the spot but cancelled it later when I realised Mahindra and it's dealer don't allow third party PDI.

That being said if you can convince the salesman to allow a 3rd party PDI discreetly (without his colleagues realising it) and convince him you are ready to purchase except for this one thing...they might allow it.

It was Sahyadri motors, Pashan.

Note, they only allowed to test electronics like all lighting exterior and interior, music system i.e. anything that can be verified when vehicle is stationary. They did not allow to drive the vehicle and check anything like ADAS, hill hold etc.

BTW, for such untested electronics, warranty is there, and Mahindra helps if you reach out through official channels like email, website.

This was helpful. May I know which 3rd party PDI service provider did you go with?

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hi All,

After a lengthy process involving multiple follow-ups, pre-delivery inspection concerns, and negotiations over insurance, I finally had the pleasure of taking possession of my brand new car on Thursday. It was a momentous occasion as I stepped into the showroom to receive my new vehicle.
The delivery experience at the showroom was excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a small goodies box along with my new car. After completing the formalities, I decided to take my gleaming new vehicle to the Dagaru Seth Ganapati temple for a traditional blessing.

Upon arriving at the temple, my joy was amplified when I noticed that there were another XUV 3XO car already present for the Pooja ceremony.
Please find attached images of the car.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post after in this FORUM , so we bought a Mahindra XUV 3X0 MX2 Pro Petrol AT TcMpfi (White)on 4th Oct 2024. Just 2 days before the 25K price hike.

Selection Criteria:-

1. SUV'ish (based on ground Clearance)
2. Space for 5 adults
3. Petrol definitely (Automatic- if fits the Price Range)
4. Budget around 12 lacs On-Road
5. Will be driven by father( 55 Years old)

Options Rejected:-

1. Hyundai Venue ( already in family + liked Kia Sonet looks instead)
2. Tata Nexon ( looks just like a raised hatchback instead + friend had one turbo petrol already which I drove and didn't like)
3. Maruti Suzuki Brezza (Just Plastic)
4. Base model Curvv( feature-less) + 4.3m in length

Options Considered:-

1. Kia Sonet :-

Firstly the dashboard is too high which makes the front glass small and that leads to No Bonet visibility ( this issue is not there in Venue).

In addition to that the 1.2 NA engine that makes 82bhp is just purely dull cause I've been driving it since 2012 in my i20 2012 Sportz 1.2 and now after spending 10 lacs+ On-Road, I was sure that I'm not gonna buy the same engine , so the only option was Sonet 1.5 diesel which is the same as in my 2022 Kia Seltos GTX+ D AT(TC), but Father refused diesel cause of 10 year diesel rule in Faridabad(Delhi NCR).

2. Kia Seltos :
father didn't wanted 2 same cars at home but the 1.5 NA petrol that makes around 110-15bhp was a gem engine in terms of power and reliability. So i convinced him for this and we Finalized the Kia Seltos 1.5 HTE Petrol (Black color) which would be around 12.5 On-Road Faridabad + 50K extra for 18 inch GT line Diamond cut alloys.

3. MAHINDRA XUV 3XO:-
Just for checking the new model we went to United Mahindra, Faridabad and there we saw the Dark blue XUV 3XO MX2 Pro Petrol AT(TC). After opening the passenger door of that car my father said "Yahi lenge" and that was end of all discussion.
The sales gut told him to try opening the bonet to feel the build quality and that moment that the car Finalization Authority moved from me to him, but I was not satisfied with the 1.2 petrol engine, but once I test drove the 1.2 Turbo Tcmpfi 110bhp + Torque Converter Unit , that made my also go with my fathers choice .

So all these factors made me also like the car :-

1. 110bhp turbo petrol + 200nm Torque
2.Torque Converter Automatic
3. 1821mm Width ( which is even greater than 4.3m segment leaders like Creta/Seltos/Kushaq/GrandVitara/Elevate)
4. 4m length (would be easy for 55+ Years old to drive)
5. basic Sunroof(just an extra point)

But the issue was that it was already 30th Sep 2024 and we were thinking of getting it on Dhanteras but we were late and the sales executive said "he'll try , but can't guarantee" , which we already knew wasn't possible.

Still without wasting time next day we were ready to book it in Black color(cause we hadn't had a Black car ever) and before going to dealership my father said why not we try few other Delhi/NCR showrooms to check the waiting time and that idea worked like MAGIC !!.... cause i called every dealership in Gurgaon/Delhi/Faridabad and surprisingly 1 more dealership present in Faridabad said "Sir, Black ke alava koi color chalega?" , so I asked them is any piece available with them and they said "YES!!.." , 1 car is available in WHITE(MX2 Pro Petrol AT )cause the loan of some customer was rejected and that moment my father was happy cause he wanted a WHITE color car.

We went there and finalized the final amount and transferred 5 lakhs to book that particular car in our name but because of Shraadh's we decided to take it home on 4th Oct 2024(2nd Navratri) .

Next day i.e 1st Oct 2024 we bought insurance through Policy bazaar (Zero Dep + Return to Invoice + engine cover ) @22K for which dealership quoted 35k.

So Total cost =

Ex-showroom 9,99,000
RTO 81,550
Insurance(own) 22,000
extended warranty 4th,5th year 22,700
Total(on-Road HR87 RTO) 11,25,250/-

+ free teflon coating
(Latest Update 6Th oct 2024 onwards 25,000/- increased on this model)
Now the Basic accessories (Aftermarket + Dealership purchased):-

1. Mahindra Genuine 17 Inch AX7L alloys wheels purchased from CEAT Tyre dealer in faridabad = 33,000/- (dealership quoting 11k/alloy)
2. 17 inch wheel CEAT secure drive SUV 215/60R17 swapped with company fitted 16 Inch CEAT tyre at Rs 2000/tyre swap = 8,000/-
3. Aftermarket 7d mats(mahindra 7d @7-8k) = 3200/-
4. Blaupunkt 4.4AHD reverse camera with adaptive guidelines(integrated in company fitted NIPPON ANDROID unit) = 4,000/-
5. Leather steering wrap(takes 3-4 hours) = 2,000/-
6. Interior white light bulbs (Rs 400 for front OSRAM + 100 for back chinese bulb)= 530/-
7. Galeo Roof rails = 2000/-
8. Galeo Door garnish chrome = 1100/-
9. Matte black wrap on doors(MX3 and above already comes with matte black door wrap/colour) = 600/-
10. Aftermarket Mud flaps(dealership was offering same @800) = 400/-
11. Parcel tray (GFX), even AX7L doesn't come with it = 1800/-
12. Mahindra Genuine accessories @dealership Door visor(chrome) + Pedal Chrome + Door sill (black)= 4000/-
13. Mahindra Genuine accessories 2nd visit @dealership fender + back doors chrome(discounted) = 1500/-
14. Carzex LED 9005/HB3 headlight 150 watts 12000 Lumens 6000k(color)= 1500/- (installed on my own
15. sunshade 50% (NET one's) = 500/-

Total = Rs 64,130/-

Pending Items(will purchase in upcoming months):-

Thinking of visiting Karol bagh(Delhi) as have seen many Vlogs for XUV 3X0 mods , so took rough estimate of pricing told by them in Videos

1. Genuine mahindra Connecting DRL (Back) @karolbagh = 5000/-
2. Genuine mahindra fog lamps @2500
3. Genuine Cruise control buttons(Glows with Lights turned ON but can't be activated), just don't like the Empty space in Steering = 1000-1500/-
4.Changing the Nippon ANDROID headunit with something with APPLE CAR PLAY or if MX3 system avaialble.
5. Mahindra Chrome door handle(when we open door from inside) 4 pieces = 2000/-
6. Genuine mahindra Piano black replacement part for windows controls(4 pieces) = 1000/-

Delivery Experience :-

$th oct 2024 was Navratri 2nd day and there were 45 deliveries planned for that day, So we reached around 4pm and got late delivery at around 8pm and then also there were few issues which i found :-

1. Car was driven 64 kms (the day we booked it was 41 kms)
2. Car's roof had 2-3 major black marks due to technicians dirty hands and didn't even clean it(had to get it clean after 3 weeks) with Teflon Coating
3. 1 Tool was missing from toolkit placed in Dicky.
4. car wasn't cleaned properly from inside, dust on AC vents + front mirror also had hand marks.

Although my father is happy, I am driving it daily from Faridabad to gurgaon(office) 70 kms daily commute So that it reaches between 1000-2000 kms mark for 1st service.

Pros:-
1. Spacious car = Doesn't feel like 4m car
2. Power = Turbo engine kicks in whenever you need to accelerate or overtake.
3. Automatic = Torque Converter is perfect gearbox + Driving modes (Zip,Zap,Zoom)
4. Auto Start/Stop traffic = also works like magic, no need to turn off car manually when at red lights of more than 20 secs.
5. Handling = car sticks to the road and feels heavy + driving modes also change the steering feedback.

Cons :-

1. Fuel Efficiency : Biggest Con of this car I would think is this only, sometimes it gives me 7.5kmpl and sometimes it gives me 15.5(light footed + ZIP mode + constantly looking at AFE screen) in city but the average is I think around (11-13) kmpl, which I didn't expect as My 2022 KIA Seltos GTX+ D AT(TC) gives around 22-24 kmpl on the same route. Also the meter doesn't show less than 8kmpl in Average fuel efficiency screen.

2. Time shown in METER :- I need to set time daily in meter , if i set time as 10am in the morning and then I start the car at 6pm in the evening it shows as 6am, then i tried the 24 hour clock and same behavior with that as I set the time in evening and the next morning at 9am it shows 21:00 , it just flips the time by 12 hours.

3. Headlight turn On issue :- if by mistake at night I forget to turn off the headlight switch and then I turn off the car and go home, then after 40-50 mins the car turns ON the front DRL + back light + number plate lights automatically. Either it should turn On the lights as soon as I lock the car at night So that I can get to know that I left the headlight switch to ON by mistake or It should not turn ON after 40-50 mins(this functionality is perfect even in my 2012 i20 Sportz 1.2).

4. Boot Open Light issue :- Yesterday night I tried to just open the boot using the Middle button provided in the Key and I took out some stuff and then closed the boot, but then i noticed the Car interior lights didn't turn off even after closing the boot, so I had to press the lock button also. Please any other 3XO owners try this and let me know, if this is common issue or just my car's issue.

5. Key Range :- The Lock/Unlock button on key works only when I am nearby, very less range as compared to Hyundai/Kia.

Attaching some pictures from Before and After the delivery .
