Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

If you feel that PDI is Our right, we can politely inform the showroom manager that as per law they cannot stop a consumer from ensuring that he is not being duped.

In conversation appear educated and aware of your rights by quoting the law.

Don't Argue just state that I was hoping for a long-term relationship with you by investing my money, however I also need to be sure you appreciate my investment.
Consumer Protection Act, 2019:
This law safeguards buyers against defective products, unfair trade practices, and deficiency in services.
Denying a PDI could be interpreted as restricting this right, especially if the buyer feels it’s necessary to assess the product’s quality or confirm it meets safety standards.

Motor Vehicles Act, 1988:
This act speaks on the registration and standards of vehicles but doesn’t specifically address third-party inspections prior to delivery. However, vehicles must meet safety and performance standards. A consumer could argue that a PDI helps verify that these standards are met.
Allow some time for them to reflect on your written request based on the law:
File a Complaint National Consumer Helpline (NCH): By visiting consumerhelpline.gov.in
CCPA reviews the complaint to determine if there are Violations
The CCPA may offer mediation for dispute resolution
You can accept a mediation at this stage and close the matter.

They forcing us to buy Insurance at double the price, they stopping us from doing a PDI.. What next .. Today these I agree what about tomorrow

The point is to draw a line politely

I encountered a similar issue, which I’ve mentioned earlier in the thread. I had booked an appointment and took my vehicle to the service center. After the initial checks, I was informed that the problem was due to a sensor failure, which would be replaced, and there was nothing else to worry about.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Requesting 3XO AX5L AT owners who purchased their cars from Bangalore showrooms in the past couple of months to share the breakup of the amount paid as final purchase price including things like ex-showroom price, RTO, final negotiated amount for insurance, RSA, extended warranty, accessories, and any other things that I might have missed.

Also mention if things like accessories, RSA, extended warranty had to be mandatorily bought from the showroom at the time of delivery itself or can be bought later. Thanks in advance.

Extending the request to all AT model owners who purchased from any of the showrooms in Bengaluru in the past couple of months.

It is not mandatory to get the extended warranty or insurance or RSA from the dealer at the time of delivery. It is your choice.

The car was bought in August. Now the price of ax5l at has been increased by 25K.

I bought AX7L from PPS Mahindra Kanakapura Road showroom in Bangalore. Following is the break-up.

Few tips:

Negotiate on Insurance. Take a quote from Acko or another insurance provider that comes around 35-40K (search in this thread). Show it to them and negotiate. Don't agree for anything more than 45K including all top-ups including consumables. My negotiated quote was 45640, down from 62K originally quoted by the dealer (similar amount with all insurance companies). The only exclusion was "Back to Invoice" coverage. Also, go with well known names as the pricing is similar.

Buy Extended Warranty for 4+1 year (total 5 years). Costs Rs. 22500. Just a 4 year warranty costs Rs. 15000. If the dealer insists that you buy only 15K warranty, don't buy extended warranty from the dealer, and buy it online after delivery or from the service center.

PPS Mahindra Sales team misled me here. They kept saying they don't know the pricing for 5 years, and finally sold me a 4 year warranty for 15000. Later, when I tried to buy an additional 5th from Service Center, they quoted Rs. 17500 just for one year extension from 4th to 5th year. Bottomline: Buy it from dealer if he is offering for 5 years at 22.5K. Else don't buy from dealer and buy it online after delivery by registering your car at https://www.withyouhamesha.com/, the Mahindra service website.

Buy RSA from dealer. Costs just 2K. You can also buy it from service center later.

Thank you for the price breakup and the tips. What's the subtracted 21000 amount visible at the bottom of the price breakup screenshot.

Well, I believe that's the initial booking amount that's been deducted from the final invoice to adjust the amount.

This comes right in time as I am to get my AX7L. I had booked AX5L which was better value but then AX7L is available earlier so going for that. Few questions -

1.) Insurance on Policy Bazaar came about to 27k for the W8 XUV 3OO with all inclusions excluding back to invoice (there is no XUV 3XO in the list). So the premium should be around 30K.
2.) Why do we need extended warranty - 3 years should be sufficient if at all it is manufacturing defect. Aging extended warranty is conditional based on root cause?
3.)Why do we need RSA - it is already free by Mahindra?

Now I am getting the AX7L and wanted to know few things -

1.) Seats are white / cream color what is the best way to keep them clean.
2.) Is there a possibility to revert back to cloth seats as they will be comfortable in sweaty conditions. I personally like cloth seats.
3.) Dealer is offering two years extended warranty (shield) for Rs. 22,750/-. I am not in for that but looks like every one is advising to go for it. Is it really necessary?
4.) The Mahindra accessory Catalog has under chassis coating for Rs. 4,500/- and Ceramic coating for Rs. 28,500/- is that any worth. I am in 2 minds. Also me think that under chassis coating is not required in a city like Bangalore.

Can't you opt for dark theme interior as its available on other trims ?

In other news 3XO now has 5 Star safety in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Why are u being charged for RSA?

As far as I know Mahindra provides free RSA for 2 years from date of purchase.

Does the above RSA cover from 3rd year onwards?

If not you are already paying for a service that is free.

I have attached photo of my warranty manual for your reference

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hi all, I got my XUV 3XO on 15th September. My running is very low and I drove it for just 750 KMs in 2 months. Last driven on 27th October and it has been parked since then. Today, I tried to start it and found that the battery was dead. I want to know if it is usual for a car battery to get drained after parking it for 20 days or if the car is having some issues. It is my first car so I don't have any experience.

This is not there in 3XO manual. For 3XO, you have to buy RSA paying 2K.

In case of AX7L, there is currently no option except white leatherette seats.

Ideally a battery should not die so early. Had u left a light or some electric component on which could have caused the battery to die?

In any case as far as I know the OEM battery has a warranty of 1 year so you can get it replaced however I suggest you take to an ASS to get the car checked for any current leakage so that it won't kill the new battery as well.
