I hope this information is helpful!
Thanks for the info . I have bought the same dashcam in the republic day sale. Yet to install it though. I read somewhere that the usb port only stays on for 5 to 10 mins after engine off. Can you confirm that also by checking the video footage?

I am currently travelling and wont be able to check it in the short term. Sorry about that.

Having said that, it is ideal that it switches off after 5 or 10 minute, otherwise it may drain the battery for keeping the dashcam running unnecessarily. Isnt it?

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

I'm super interested in the 3XO to replace our ageing Baleno. It just seems like a perfect product for the price, with features and fundamentals that outstrip much bigger SUVs like the Creta etc. What do I mean by this?

1. Engine and gearbox- TGDI has more power and torque than the Hyundai/Kia 1.5L NA, Honda 1.5L NA, VW Group's 1.0 TSi etc.
2. 5 Star safety rating that both Honda and Hyundai cannot match
3. Features that are only available on the bigger SUVs at 24-25L that are available on the 3XO at the 17-18L mark.
4. Comparable physical dimensions, with the main trade-off being the boot space which I can live with.

So the only question that remains is which variant? For my purposes, I found the AX7 to be the best. The AX5L, while it has ADAS, falls short on premium features. The AX7L is just plain overpriced, and I'm happy to forgo ADAS.

Do you all think this is prudent, that forgoing ADAS is a valid tradeoff for the 2L saved? Or is this a must-have in today's cars for better future-proofing? Both the AX5L and the AX7L have ADAS, and the AX5L is priced the same as my choice, the AX7. Question is would the AX7's premium features (like the bigger rims, better stereo, SkyRoof, leatherette on the seats and dash) be an unnecessary distraction to what could be a life-saving set of features? Or should I just break the bank and get the full-fat AX7L?

PS: I plan on keeping this car for at least 7-8 years. It will be used mostly for outstation road trips and small weekend runs in the city. Commuting by car daily isn't an option in our precious Bangalore, I have my Speed 400 for that

If I was in your shoes, I would choose the variant with ADAS since you mentioned that you'll use it for outstation trips. ADAS may not be helpful in BLR traffic, but highways is where ADAS becomes useful.

Hey, I was also keen on 3XO as my first car but the limited bootspace has put a spanner in my plans. Considering that you are planning the car mostly for outstation trips, have you identified a work around (cargo box or something) to supplement the boot?

No, a cargo box would nullify the existence of the sunroof. Maybe a lower variant and a cargo box as a workaround perhaps? That will come with its own tradeoffs though. I'm also now looking at the Verna as an alternative.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

What mileage are folks here getting in hilly regions (or places with variation in elevation). Just ran through a full tank yesterday driving with KL towns and realized that I am getting around 7.2kmpl for my AX5 (TCMPFi engine).

Took some time to realize it because Mahindra has dishonorably locked the minimum mileage on the instrument console to 8kmpl.

It doesn't really affect me since my annual running is low (shocked to realize that this 1.2L turbo mileage is less than my 11+year old 3rd gen Honda City 1.5L though) but combine Mahindra's Instrument cluster shenanigans with the comments from Mahindra PR team posting unrealistic mileage figures on related YouTube videos and this whole think stinks.

I have driven both. My close friend has Brezza ZXI + AT, and I own AX5 L AT - The immediate differences are
Pickup/speed and refined engine all this is superior in 3XO
Also, the Body is well built in 3XO

Whereas Brezza, I felt lethargic pickup, but when it was done and on the move, it was good; I felt this is good for highways but not certainly for traffic use

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Same in your boat. Upgraded from baleno to 3XO AX7 in Aug. for the exact reasons I choose AX7 over AX5L.

White interior looks more premium and grand I managed to keep it clean for 6 months.

only difference is my usage is mostly city so I ADAS is anyways not useful. AMA if you have other questions.

Now evaluating everything in a +/- 2 lakh range with the following matrix and driving myself slightly crazy

(lower the final ratio, the better VFM the product is)

You are not the only one, though my sheet is more of RAG (Red-Amber-Green) marked on features that I need/want (and a lower budget).
I have started eliminating options by taking calls on EV vs Petrol, NA vs Turbo, Body type etc. With so many options is very hard to make a decision. Better to prune down your list to maybe 2-3 and then take a call. At least that's how I am planning to go about it.

I have narrowed down to Sonet Turbo and Kylaq Signature. Waiting for Kylaq TD to take the final call.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Yes did same. on paper is one thing and final decision will come via test drive only. these excel sheets is good to decide top 3-4 after that you need to test drive and your spouse/parents/kids decision also comes to picture.

my short list were elevate, city, sonet.
interior is far superior to hondas and engine and ride is far superior to sonet made my decision to AX7.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Those who booked 3XO, how long have you been waiting to get the car allotted? I booked the AX5L in the last week of July in Chennai. The dealership recently informed me that delivery is expected by March. They claim that similar waiting periods apply to everyone. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, is it possible for the dealer to allocate my vehicle to someone else? They told me that this is absolutely impossible, as Mahindra will send me an email once the vehicle is allotted. Is this accurate?

My brother in law booked his AX7 on 13th November and his car was at the dealership on 17th December. The delivery is planned for this Sunday. This is a tier 3 city in Bihar.

Regarding the email, I can't confirm.
