Yep, it sure is convenient; but I do not think it is worth 4.5K. I would rather open the car with a key :-)

No, I am buying a 2010 model Manza QJD - base variant. There is not much difference in base variant. In fact, earlier it used to have a music system, which have been discontinued in new version.

I got a cash discount of 25K, plus the music system which old version had - a total saving of about 40K :-)

Not sure about Aura ABS but the outgoing Aura+ has EBD.

I am getting an Indigo Manza Petrol 2009 top end version in TM showroom in Bangalore. Its a new vehicle which they say was not sold and was lying in the company godowns as it the exterior was black in color.

The car has never been run. Its available for 6.40 lacs on road. I am not sure how can there be a 1.5 years old vehicle and never sold till now? Does that sound possible? Something seems fishy..

Even if everything is fine with the vehicle, does it makes sense to buy a BS-III 2009 built vehicle? The original on road of this vehicle is 7.27 Lacs but they seem to be offering it for 6.4 Lacs.

Frankly, BS-III or BS-IV doesnt matter much from an end user perspective.

GTO time for a revised Manza Elan review?

Ideally if one could just amend the original review in the first post itself, to reflect the newer interior colour schemes and exterior finishes along with any improvement in the quality of the materials used it would be perfect. The Mechanicals are said to be the same anyways.

Since this is a well referred thread of a best seller it would make sense to get this one updated.

A surveyor from ORG MARG called on me to take feedback on my Manza. Gave my
feedback about

a) The lower GC when fully laden due to softer rear suspension resulting in the vehicle scaraping the road/speed breakers unless driven very carefully.
b) clutch that has hardened a bit apart from increased play of the clutch ,
c) The misaligned power window switch housing (corrected in Elan)
d) Some of the niggles due to the build quality like rattle inside the dashboard, loose plastic panels on the driver side B pillar, the power window switches, door levers etc.
e) Dashboard reflection (corrected on the Elan)

Suggested him to read the ownership reviews in tbhp. He was aware of tbhp and said that he will take a look. Wanted to give feedback about the dealership. He refused to take it as the survey is some sort of pilot being done by them on behalf of TML R & D and if they get the project, they would covering the dealership & customer rating as well.

As an aside, some of the changes that I have noted on the Elan that my friend has bought are
a) The power window switch housing is much better looking & finished than the current model
b) Alloys on top end
c) Chrome lining on the lower half of the window panels
d) Darker dashboard that cuts reflections and looks much richer. Manza already had dual tone dashboard but it is only that there is a new color scheme on the Elan version
e) on the flip side, vanilla beige portions of the dual upholstery is not a great idea for India. They get soiled very quickly.

stupid: As far as color is concerned I have this question, does the Elan comes in dual-tone interior across all colors? I assume that each colors would have their respective dash, like Tyrian Wine comes with similar colored dashboard.

@ispoke: For the Elan & Aura ABS it is burgundy and vanilla beige for all colors. For lower end models it is black and vanilla beige.

As for a separate Elan reviews, a review of the interiors and exteriors would suffice as there is no advertised improvements to the Engine/mechanicals. These have been covered by SidIndica on his scoop on Elan.
