The beige one belongs to a mechanic and can be brought provided you can withstand the greed of that person. you need not be surprised to hear even if he asks 50k.

Re: Sembra una vespa! - story of a Wasp to Vespa

Ha Ha! wasp is back home after a prolonged delay she is ready. I admit this was the only poor machine which got delayed in the few restorations I've done so far. I am so gald and relieved now. I was surprised the mechanic calling today as he is missing the wasp & wanted to see it soon for another final check. Yes she needs few final touches which are speedometer, tail lamp a final waxing/polishing and a new set of tyres, that's it she is all set to rule the roads her own way.

Is this the Vespa from Bangalore for which you undertook the restoration? If so,it has come out very neat. But Im not happy with the colour scheme and it doesnt look like Vespaism.A brighter or a lighter colour would have done the right justice.

Thanks for the appreciation Ram sir. Yes I am happy with the out come it has come beyond my expectation. Regarding the color may be the pics are not doing justice but in real the color is awesome. There are few things like the white walls which the owner is planning once in his hand would defiantly make it look class.

White Walls will certainly enhance the classic retro looks. You can procure White wall tyres or inserts through online very easily now.Ofcourse they are a bit costly.

Bala, please, the PAL emblem makes it very obvious as an 'odd-one-out' part! Looks like cheap bling jobs done by 'Autowallas'! The scoot is better off without it.

I was very happy when my nephew put the spare wheel cap of my Premier Padmini which was lying around on the scooter, this struck an idea, I feel the scooter looks good with that though the logo makes it look odd hence got brand new stainless steel cox make plain wheel caps with no PAL logo on it, though these will be fixed to my vespa and recently acquired PRIYA as I don't have the consent of the owner if he likes it or not.

I feel sometimes though the idea is simple but the outcome makes a lot amazing. A wheel cap online is no less than 3500/-INR. Scooters in the past also had a similar wheel caps however there used to be a center nut with a designed head.

Glad to know you've gone for the COX SS ones- SS ones are the best choice, no rust headache unlike these chrome PP ones that the last models had, which rust like there's no tomorrow!

BTW, 'didnt know you acquired a Priya! Congrats! Is it the chocolate one you once photo'd?
