but these have to be original fastbacks.i hope one wasn't that blue one.remember.that homemade fastback roof.that car was spoilt.

how about the import route.is used car import allowed.there are quite a few good RHD pieces lying in australia and UK and we can also get it converted into RHD from US also.

no i am not talking about bhalla's car which is now black and orange. i can vouch for the three cars of their originality but not for the one in bambay. the one from bambay like i said belonged to someone from the furum and he wanted to modify it and last i heard it was for sale. the car from delhi and hyderabad are not fast backs 64- 67 models like the one from bluffmaster (not convertible). i have posted pictures of the delhi car. the car from indore i cannot say the exact model as the owner has 5 of them and i dont know which one he is selling. i can vouch for these three cars as they belong to collectors and i know the originality that is maintained by them.
importing the cars are not allowed as there are custom laws now for cars older than three yrs old so they are not allowed. i studied in australia and was very tempted to bring down some cars from there.

As you can see the rear of the car, the mustang sign is that of a 1968, the from grill also signals that its a 1968 and not a 1967. Also, if you see the stearing wheel, you you are a mustang enthusiast, its a 68 fly wheel. okay. Then, as i had posted earlier on, about somebody who had said that the original shelby GT500s did NOT come with automatic transmission. yes, it does. and in fact manuals are more rare than the automatic so they are in plenty in the usa. well thats all i had to say and i have not used short term language here so thats good...

Hey Mustangfever, your fever will take a long time to come down. First of all, there are many lusting for fastback Mustangs. They are just not available. I have ever seen three, the blue one at the start of this thread, a silver one from Mumbai which I told my friend about and he promptly bought and took to Indore, a third one, only the body shell was lying in a car pound next to Somani school in Cuffe Parade Mumbai and destroed when that car pound was closed. So you must bring one from abroad, in which ever way you figure out. But never say never, keep searching.
Even otherwise, V8 normal Mustangs are not easily available because more 6 cylinder cars came into India. But there are 2 V8's for sale I know of, one is 1968 in bits and a 1971 in better condition, but still to be finished. Both are expensive.

Hello Ajmat,

The Khoday Mustang is green in colour, it is a V8 BUT it is not a fastback. I have seen the entire Khoday collection but did not see a fastback. Still, I called a friend in Bangalore and he confirmed that this is not a fastback. He also told me that at a recent event in Bangalore, the Khoday Mustang was present. There are two green V8 Mustang's in Bangalore, the other is Doc's.
But one could always try to get a pic.

Cheers Harit
