Pics: '67 Mustang Fastback

This beauty was parked and I couldn't resist taking a few shots before the guy drove off.

This is one of the few REAL mustangs in the country with a proper V8. A 302 in this one. Man, what a sound...I just love that deep rumble of an old pushrod V8!

I spoke to the owner, briefly, as he didn't seem too willing to talk about the car. Seems it may turn up at the Mumbai Speedrun, so keep your eyes (and ears) open.

Now if only I had a T-BHP card handy to give to him before he drove off...

Well, this was real close dippy to where you saw it. Opposite Velocity. The guys from that garage (you see a bit of it in the background behind the fruits) were working on this car.

Hey Rtech,

If i am not mistaken this car is tucked away in a garage off napean sea road.
If it isnt this car....then there is another blue mustang that i managed to sneak a peak of between garage doors a couple of years ago.

Brilliant, yay, theres a V8 muscle car in india! So far, I've only heard of the V6-engined variants.

Didn't anybody see the black one at the Speedrun last year? Or was it the year before? I don't think that was a Fastback though. Nice catch Rtech, now only if we had an audio clip of the 302.

The black Mustang you mentioned was at the 2003 Speed Run. I guess it belongs to the Zod guys. I've seen it featured in a lotta commercials too

This car reminds me of the 67 ShelbyFord Mustang GT500 from the movie gone in 60 sec's....btw i guess that car was better looking....also was that car modified(except for the NOS)for the movie?? or was it a stocked version...???...coz from the pics it looks like a toned down brother of the one featured in the film...

PS:Rtech... amazing find..Mustangs have always have been my fav..untill the M5 caught my attention!!

Yeah baby! A 67 mustang in decent condition with a 302. And in Bombay!

Boy, this is the stuff that dreams are made of. Absolute desireability...

hey anyone know the whereabouts of this car now.

i'm looking for a decent conditioned 1965-1969 mustang.

i don't think i'll get a gt350 or gt390 here.so a v8 would just be fine.

rtech let me know if you have any leads.

The car in gone in 60 sec was not a real GT500, It was a shelby 'clone'. Real gt500's came only with manual tranny, but since they found it difficult to do some stunts on that(crazy yanks!!), out of the 5 cars used in the movie, 4 were automatic 'clones' only one was the real deal.
