Try to buy as cheap as possible, 3-5K should be good price.

Is the owner asking 12.5K ? Saw one advertisement few days ago, think in ebay

It was made around the 50s. It was later made indigenously as the Laxmi 48cc. Here is another example in Madras:

this moped was produced by innocenti lambretta,the italian company from august 1955 to march 1961.total no: of units produced was about 63000

this moped named innocenti lambretta 48 had a 47.75 cc two stroke engine.2 speed gear box and max speed attained was 50 kmph
in india API produced this moped naming it as laxmi moped (i am not sure about this)

Laxmi Moped was not produced by API, it was produced by KGP Motors i.e. Kirloskar-Ghatge Patil Motors, Kolhapur (Maharashtra) from the license by Innocenti, Italy.
They still have a production plant @ Kolhapur which now produces pistons & piston rings.

The goodbye moped before KGP exited the scene was the Pizzaz with a kick start and smaller dia wheels.It could carry two people. the engine and gearbox were the same as the old Lambretta 48.
