If Hillram picks up the early Luna (1972) like the one which I posses ......then it will be a TWO in ONE, yes Do you know the 1972 LUNA from Kinetic engineering is a offshoot of VESPA Ciao Moped

Here is my LUNA -1972, to be precise just 3092 examples of these models were manufactured ( details from: Car & Bike International/ October 1987 issue)
now here is my LUNA>>>

Re: Looking for classic mopeds

The enfield mofa looks awesome. Wonder why the production stopped.

It would definitely sell like hot cakes now if the pricing was right.

I have the very first HERO MAJESTIC Moped from M/S Majestic auto ltd stable ( Hero group)
It came along 1980, with fuel tank below the seat, a rear carrier & a tool box at the frame's sting portion as in Laxmi 48.
Yes got it just few months before...now in factory paint , stock...note the unusual color scheme...it came with Pale Green & OLD Gorratta Blue, which color scheme was order for four wheelers of that period..not for small Mopeds
now my HM >>

***> In the above pic , can see a LC RD at my garage, plz no discussions right now on that..b'coz there is a chance of Hero getting pushed down!!

These pictures was clicked while shifting some of my Yet 2 B restored Mopeds to my uncle's textile Godown

Great! this is exactly what we had until a bajaj super replaced it. mind if I steal the pic for my collection? better still if you could send me a full resolution pic.

The visible part of the wheel that is connected to the pedals in third pic had a small lever that could be shifted to make it run like a bicycle in case the engine died.

Sir,

You should now open a full fledged 2-wheelers museum as a permanent sight-seeing destination in Coimbatore.. I will definately visit it once in a while.

The Mofa and Hero are beautiful..

Re: Looking for classic mopeds

Thanks for the reply Powertwin,

If the pricing is correct in rural India as well they should sell well.

INDIA is blessed with a huge population and the so call generation Y is a limited few.

Wish i could find the dyes of these bikes, i wouldn't mind to start manufacturing them myself.
