Hi, i am currently using an HJC CS-15 and want to upgrade. Have seen and tried multiple options. Listing them below with my comments. Please note i have tried these at a store and did not ride at all. Btw, i currently ride a Bear 650 and a Duke 390. So no track use. Major use will be for city and highway rides and occasional touring.

1. KYT R2R Pro - Size S - Extremely comfortable and felt very very light. Price 15k
2. KYT TT Revo - Same as above. Price 8k
3. LS2 Vector 2 - Comfortable but felt heavy. Price 13k
4. LS2 FF805 Thunder Carbon - Extremely light and brilliant vision. The padding quality was the best. Price 32k
5. AGV K1S - yet to try but heart says go for an AGV. Price 28.5k

The LS2 FF805 Thunder Carbon is several steps above all the others in your list. AGVs are not currently being imported into India, so if you have found stocks somewhere, then they are likely to be old helmets. And they used to be sold for around Rs 13 - 15K. The Rs 28.5K price is outrageous for what is an entry level helmet.

Bit the bullet and got a Shoei Z8 TC10 Retro :D. Fell in love instantly with this one. Also it was a fantastic experience purchasing from lanesplit noida.

Lovely lid indeed - I am using the same one currently. May I ask how much the final price came to at Lanesplit? Thanks.

I guess he’s already bought the Shoei Z8 as per his latest update, linked above.

Can you guys suggest how should I proceed ahead with the same. My budget is 35k.

I have AGV and its very light and comfortable but noisy at speeds.

I'm looking for a new helmet. I already have an LS2 FF800 for my joy rides on my KTM Adv, looking to replace an old Studds Shifter helmet as it's really old.

1.Use case - 99.5% use in the city for sabji-palak-kothimbir short 'rides' on a wego.
2. Need a safe full face non-modular helmet for the city - Dot rated preferable (not looking for the really cheap ones)
3. Need a light enough and comfortable helmet
4. Double visor highly preferred
5. Prefer micrometric buckle instead of Double Ds :-)
6. Budget ~< INR 3k
7. Wide vision visor would be nice

Apologies if this is a repeated question !

Vega ROX. Although you may not like the cheap build feeling it gives. Good build DOT helmets under 3K is hard. TvS and Vega have certain models with discount on amazon. I also have an older DOT helmet for the same purposes like you.

Thanks ! Will check Vega & TVS. To be honest, 3k is not a hard limit - if I can get a safe comfortable & not very heavy helmet with a double visor, don't mind paying 5k-7k max since it will be used for many years.

At 5k INR, there's many more options for you. The obvious one being Axor Apex at 4.5k. Without double visor, you get their Hunter, an ECE 22.06 model, at 3.5k on Amazon. Of course, weight has increased to 1500gms for the base model. Umpteen Axor made variations by TVS and RE available. ECE 22.05 is lighter than 22.06. TVS Xpod is an older, Axor made, DOT model at 2.7k. It doesn't provide chin protection according to the labels (on the helmet) despite being a DOT full face model. So take DOT helmets with a grain of salt.

Guys helmet suggestions under 20k, light weight and compatibility with specs are priority!!

Try LS2 storm ff2. I wear glasses and don’t feel discomfort. It’s half your budget. Else any MT series. Basically any modern helmet is glasses compatible and doesn’t cause discomfort. Just make sure fitting is correct. Visit a local retailer for best results.

Guys - Any reccos for a lightweight, aerodynamic fibreglass race/sport-touring lid, compatible with specs, with an emphasis on noise isolation, ventilation? My budget is up to 35-40k. Aerodynamics and Noise are a priority as I now ride a naked.

LS2 FF805 Carbon. Should be an ideal lid.
Or Airoh Spark or Airoh Valor.

LS2 Storm FF800 at 11k is great value and a great helmet overall but if your can spend 20k, you should consider the LS2 Vector II - it's light and super comfortable at 15k, but you will have to buy Pinlock separately

Yes those seem to be the usual suspects - thanks.
I am hearing mixed feedback on the Noise Isolation for the Carbon LS2's, although build quality and comfort are very good. I have a FF320 that has held up extremely well since circa 2018, I am not sure spending 40k ish makes sense on a LS2 lid.

The Airohs are all Plastic shell, unless I look at the GP550s, and again I have found criticism of the ventilation and noise. The K1S is also plastic shell.

Any other brands to consider?

I myself used to use The LS2 FF320 and after using that, I felt hard to justify 30K + on the FF805 carbon for the incremental gains.

Any other brands?
Yes there are loads but due to the import rule these two along with MT ( Cheaper though and not sure it has a carbon ) are only ones legit available.

I always say, either go to BKK or get something to bring from Europe if you know brand or size.
AGV / Schuberth / Shoei / Arai et al
