I am looking for a half face/open face helmet.
My need is I dont want much or No graphics, preferrably mat finish and the Visor to be inside slide rather than outside. |
Performance Racing has a couple of half face lids but they are priced at 9.5k.
Link.
I remember seeing KBC helmets in open face but they are not listed anymore on Planet DSG. You might want to call them and check.

It got two holes on the visor which helps in defogging. |
The holes on the sides of the visor are for anti-fog inserts. See
this.

No personal experiences but you can safely rely on the WebBikeWorld reviews as they are pretty transparent.
My new lid
LS2 FF350 Targa Edition
Shop Helmet Paradise
Price 2650/-
Brought it through my friend.

Got myself a LS2 couple of months back.
Its called the "Cartoon" edition with a callout "What are you waiting for?"
Got it from Laxmi auto on JM road in Pune. They have a huge variety of Vega and LS2 helmets. Price was I think 2900 INR. Got a transperant visor.
Anyone tried out or seen the new HJC CL STII helmets available with PRS?
Hi guys. Can someone please tell me where I can find a Bluetooth helmet in Mumbai?
Something like a Vega V Tune model.

I have had two HJC helmets back in my early days of riding, and they are a lot of bang for the buck. HJC universally is more suited to round shaped heads than the oval ones. They are a trusted VFM brand in the US, infact they have off late been giving the big boys a run for their money with the FG & RPHA series.

Check our Performance Racing Store's website, they would surely have a helmet that can incorporate a Bluetooth module.

Absolutely. No doubt about that. Just that this is a new model, and havent seen it personally. Having a round shaped head, I have previously found HJC helmets to suit my requirements. But still, I feel uneasy at the thought of buying a lid without having tried it on.
Hope this is the proper place to post these pics.
Witnessed an accident near my home last week.
A drunk biker was hit by an autorickshaw. He was rushed to hospital quickly.
Got his so called helmet from the spot.
This is how it looked like.
See the cracked shell.. It's made of thermocol covered with 1mm 'thick' cheap plastic.
Got angry, I crushed it with feet..
Egg shell was better.
Anyway, he is safe with minor scratches.
Fine for not using helmet : 100 Rs
Price of this so called helmet : 200 Rs
Feeling of escaping from police checking / Compromising safety : Priceless.

Sadly the most common perception in our country is that "it can't happen to me". :Frustrati
I wish the police were more stringent in checking helmets which are ISI certified than for other trivial reasons.
And the fact that these non ISI helmets are sold off the shelf shows how rules are flouted in the country.
Just the other day i witnessed a duo on a motorcycle where the rider was wearing this cap type helmet. The pillion was interested in buying this used piece of helmet from the rider and was haggling with him to buy it for 200 bucks. Little do people know that hospital bills cost a LOT more than such helmets.
Insurance companies must have a rider in their policy which allows them to not honor the claim if non ISI helmets are used.
But then what happens to safety conscious riders like us who use DOT and SNELL certified lid's which are far better than the ISI ones? Catch 22 !!!:Frustrati
