3. Alpinestars Honda T-GP Pro V2 Jacket - 20400 INR

Get the Alpinestars SMX 6 V2 boots for sure. I have been using them for almost 3 years now. Fantastic, comfortable and protective boots once broken in. FC Moto also sells the latest Alpinestars SMX 6 V3 boots too. Check it out as well.

FC Moto is very reliable, I have ordered a few things from them. Just factor in ~43 to 45 percent customs duty on delivery.

Check out the Knox Seasonless gear collection as well. I am currently using this because Mumbai is hot and humid almost always. I have the Urbane Pro MK3 jacket (AA rated and level 2 armour) and Urbane Pro MK2 trousers. Superb - lightweight and protective.

You have kept a healthy budget for gear. Get the best possible imported stuff you can, it will last long and this stuff is incomparable to our local brands in every way.

Cheers

Was in the lookout for a short cuff gloves for strictly city use.Had used rynox tornado gloves a few years back and it was disappointingly short lived.
So this time I thought of going for an international brand.Have A stars full gauntlet gloves for track use. So thought of trying something else.
Had read great reviews for Rev'IT gears and thought would give it a try. Went to Auto Queen Kochi for purchase. Also tried reise moto's Austra gloves but the fit was weird and it was half the price of Rev'IT ones.
Finally settled for Rev'ITs Mangrove gloves .Though the size chart suggests size L, I had to size down to M for that perfect fit.
The finish is great, and the stitching and fit excellent, better than most of the Indian brands. The airflow is also great but I have limited experience with non leather gloves. Now only time will tell about the durability factor of these gloves.

For gloves, good leather just outlasts fabric any day from my experience. He would have arranged Revit short leather gloves of your choice if you wanted to. You can view the ready stock at highnoteperformance website. Just my opinion.

This has been bugging me for a really long time, I cannot find riding pants that can be used as black formal wear/trousers. Since I have to commute to courts 5 days a week, the lack of safety gear is frustrating. Maybe moto gear manufacturers can use this as business opportunity as Revit seems to make chino that look formal enough but cost 20k each :Frustrati

Anyone facing similar issues? as this is not talked about much and suggestions are welcome.

At this point i feel like sourcing some fibers like Cordura/aramids and making a custom trouser :unhappy.

Feel you mate. I would not recommend buying these Rev'it, Ixon, Spidi jeans that are currently on our market. These brands cannot be bothered to certify it to AAA for the amount of money they ask for. Most of these are in fact just 'A' rated, not even 'AA'. While many people took issue with Fortnine's video about armour being useless, he made a solid point about regulatory capture which 100% applies for riding jeans.

If you are fine with not having black, Rynox has some downtown pro, Oxford sells AAA rated jeans in India. If you absolutely need black, I copped a set from a fairly old Dainese release https://www.dainese.com/us/en/classi...755143118.html (I still kick myself for not getting the olive ones too. This one is made in Italy, I will post a more detailed post when I get the time). Since it is part of an old collection, you might find it on sale if you are lucky to find it in your size. Be sure to replace the armour with something better because Dainese 'pro armour' is utter rubbish. Other decent black jeans, you will have to import (Bull'it covert evo, Hood jeans or PMJ Cafe racer).

Hi folks, looking to upgrade my riding pants.
Been using the Rynox Advento pants for the last 7 years. Have been pretty happy with them. The usage is mainly road riding with some amount or trails.

I'm looking at the
- Rynox Stealth Evo 4
- Viaterra Munro

Can't seem to find much information on both these products from people who have bought them. Does anyone here have any experience with these?

Picked up E-39 mid-rise riding boots from Royal Enfield few days back. These are so much better than my Clan riding boots. Have used it only in dry weather so far. The fit is fine on the feet but a bit loose near the ankle and above. I have tried both wearing the riding pants over the boots and tucking the pants under the boot, but still feels loose from ankle upwards. I guess i will have to get adjusted to the feel.

Unless the boot is secured with an inner bootie or buckles at the ankle and one at the calf, it will always be loose.

Hi there!

What size did you pick? The regular size as your sports shoes or formals or 1 size smaller. How does it feel while riding, specially during gear shifts. Please do tell in some detail.

I was also looking up for boots and this is on my watchlist. Recently, the price dropped down to 7K on RE website so I was tempted to get it immediately. But other considerations held me back. First, there is no word on safety rating. I guess hardly any boot is properly CE certified under 10K price. Next, I read on this thread that it is quite heavy and might take a long time getting used to. I am not very sure about fit and longevity as well. So, if anyone can shed some light on these aspects, it would be great. I will also try to check it out on RE showroom nearby. Will they price it same as the website? If yes, I might end up buying this. So, guys please help me decide if this is the boot to go for under 8K or I should look at something else better, for example Gadsyll or Amaroq.

You should look at the Cramster Flux as well. They seem to be out of stock right now everywhere but looks solid for the price.

I bought the same size as my other shoes, 43 or UK 9. I tried both 42 and 44 at the store. 43 felt fine at the store. I waited for the price to come down and bought it for 10.7K. This had gone down a bit more, if I remember correctly. The 7K that you mention might be for the low-rise version. It was hovering around 8-9k. The mid-rise one doesn't go below 10.5 usually.

RE provides CE rating on its website for E-39 shoes. You can look it up. I felt among all the Indian brands sold, E-39 was the best. The shoe is not too heavy. I got used to is on the first ride itself. Yes, it need a bit getting used to. Even now, I take few mins to get adjusted to the foot and gear lever position. The space on my HD X440 is not to tight, so able to manage.
The price on the site and in the store might be different. I found the site lower. I asked in the store if they can match it but they said No. May be it is different between stores.

Thanks a lot for all the input. The price I saw of 7K is mentioned for mid-rise variant. Here’s the link:

https://store.royalenfield.com/en/e-...-45-uk-1-black

Also, as far as I could check, they just mention “Conforms to high safety standard”. I couldn’t find details on where they have used armours and of which brand or standard. They look sturdy though and it is my choice due to its clean look. I will now definitely check it on RE store for size and fit and maybe then order online.

Thanks again. Cheers!

I injured my toe while wearing Gadsyll shoes. As a beginner, I used to train in Moto Gymkhana sessions, which led to a fall on a nearby ground. I've now decided to switch to Alpinestars SMX-6 V3 Vented boots.

It retails for ₹16500 on FC-Moto including shipping. Let's add 50% as customs and handling to it which comes to a total of ₹25000.
