Before changing the lane, the car guy should have checked his side mirror. The 2 wheeler guys too seems in speed. Although an unfortunate incident, nobody has rights to resort to the tactics done by the 2 wheeler person.

If there is one thing that I have learnt, there are always two sides to the coin. The bouncer's response is in no way acceptable as there seems to be no further act by the driver to aggravate the situation further. However, the way the newspaper clipping manipulates the event is pathetic. If the driver had got down and apologized, all is well is the argument.:disappointed
The driver is from a different state, with his family and kid and the last thing that he will want is to get thrashed by a seemingly fit and angry guy with a bucket load of adrenaline. One never knows how such incidents will pan out and the driver's response was understandable and appropriate.
The other side to the coin is that, God forbid, if the accident was fatal, the driver would have had a much bigger problem in his hands than the emotional trauma of being the victim of a road rage. That is the best takeaway that the driver can carry with him. Broken car wipers, windshield et al are covered by insurance and replaceable. We humans too are insured, but I'll pass on being a victim and getting beaten up and claiming insurance.

There was a dashcam video where the rear camera shows that this car made a sharp lane change to left on a downramp of a bridge. The Bouncer was riding behind and due to this lane change + downramp and wet road, even though he braked hard, the vehicle skid and hit this car and the bouncer had a nasty fall. After this, the car driver did not stop to check on the bouncer and rather 'seemed' to drive away for a distance. Thats why the bouncer is seen shouting 'I could have got killed'. Thats the cause of the enrage even though I am not justifying what he did.

Bangalore Police have booked the biker, and rightfully so, but this driver needs to be booked for reckless driving as well.

There was another recent case in Bangalore where two people in car mowed down and killed a biker because he was not giving way.

Aren't we missing something here. I think the biker was way faster than everybody on the road including the adjacent red colour car and the two vehicles following the bike and car involved.

I would say that the car guy made a mistake of not checking rear view mirrors before changing direction. The biker without taking into consideration of traffic situation including wet surface was too fast and 'reckless'. Even after the mishap his acts are way beyond reckless.

What car guy did would be termed as accidental and what the biker did is criminal act.

Some of the earlier posts have suggested that the car driver should have come out to apologize and matter would be solved thr itself. I'm not so sure, it could have been otherwise also, the biker may have manhandled him and his family.

On the Bangalore Road Rage incident - the biggest issue I see is the two-wheeler mentality of driving which carries over to driving a car as well. Most two-wheelers don't have a rear view mirror. And if they do have, most don't use it. But when a two-wheeler driver does it, the other vehicles are expected to expect it, accept it, and brake in time to avoid a collision. However, if a car driver uses the same mentality, it is always the car driver's fault. Why can't two-wheelers also expect a vehicle ahead to shift lanes?

Well, sarcasm apart, I think it is a problem with how we learnt to drive. It needs a generational change in mindset to inculcate good driving habits. Until such time, these accidents will continue to happen.

And for sure, any normal human being would have let go after seeing a baby inside the car. The attitude of the bouncer leaves much to be desired. The guy has no right to vandalise the car, or even physically assault. Shows how far we are culturally yet. If law enforcement and insurance companies can work on these cases amicably, for sure such accidents won't need to be more unpleasant beyond the accident itself.

Another road rage reported from Badaun, UP. This one is downright scary, children screaming in the car, a man mercilessly smashing the car and the police not caring to register FIR until the video went viral. Clearly, we are regressing as a society.

Well it might come across as ugly to some, but seeing the situation these days, it's always good to have some good ol' stuff from your college days in the boot of your car.

The golden rule is always to avoid escalation of the situation. Saves time, energy and any potential loss. But just for that one out of a hundred situations, things can come really handy, and for our own safety only.

Ran into this idiot yesterday.
He was trying to barge into a 2 lane entry just seconds before. White SUVs in Noida behave very typically, and once I passed him, I knew exactly what he would do next. I kept my peace and pace.
Very stereotypical, but I have never met a scorpio in my travels anywhere in India which is not behaving badly.

With the uptick in road rage incidents all over India, i can say with certainty that 95% of the time it is the bikers fault. These entitled beings think that they can ride anyway the like and others road users should lookout for them and accommodate their nuisance. They have put autos and cabbies to shame with their recklessness. Cutting in front of cars,driving on wrong side,turning without checking mirrors,hitting side view mirrors while squeezing through non existent gaps,hitting stationary cars at stop lights then giving a stupid grin and saying " Kuch nahi hua",asses don't realise that as car enthusiasts we make substantial efforts to keep our rides clean and scratch free and it is NOT OKAY to spoil other's cars due to your stupidity,list is endless. Nothing justifies road rage but let's get real these annoying habits eventually riles up others no matter how calm anybody is.

People who talk of stuff, or of reacting in any physical way, always assume that they would be the winner of any such encounter. They might have "stuff:" the other guy might have stuff too. They might be very fit and muscular: the other guy might spend every day at the gym. The other guy is probably a regular at this kind of encounter too.

Just thinking out loud. Personally, I'm a no-muscle wimp!

I faced one incident in Baner area of Pune a few days back.

An Enfield fellow thought it was his birthright to jump the signal and hence did that right in front of my friend's car. Luckily he applied brakes in time. But the fellow was unapologetic about it.

When i asked my friend to leave, he started following us. It was after he overtook us to block our car near a circle that i saw he had a "Maharashtra Police" sticker on the rear guard. Luckily, there was a traffic policeman near the circle (thanks to the frequent bottlenecks due to metro construction) and my friend started honking immediately which drew his attention to the car.

He came running and asked if there was an issue. At this instant, the biker started to run away but since i took out the keys of his bike when he was busy abusing my friend, he could not escape. Turns out this guy does not have anyone in the police force and that such stickers are available in the market.

The police fellow was really helpful, spoke to us and said that this wont be repeated. Followed us along with this colleague as a pillion from there till Agriculture College circle and waved us goodbye. As to the bully, he was fined for 3 counts (no licence - not even on digilocker, police sticker, number plate in marathi).

The biggest takeaway for me is that these "Police"; "Navy"; "Army" stickers and plates are used by bullies and the fact that they are very easily available in the market is something that the police need to come down heavily on.

No road rage, just the usual gestures, but this so common. One two wheeler guy ignored the red and cut across me as I taking a U-turn.
