Stick to Indore-Dhamnod-Dhule-Aurangabad-Beed-Osmanabad-Tuljapur-Naldurg-Homnabad-Hyderabad

Aurangabad-Hyd by car takes around 11hrs.Start early from Aurangabad(at first daybreak)and you should be ok to reach Hyd by sundown.I wouldnt advise doing the Aurangabad-Beed-Osmanabad-Naldurg sector in darkness:too isolated like any other MH highway.

re: Hyderabad to Indore : Route Queries

The Section from Indore to Burhanpur witnesses heavy traffic leading to major road accidents mostly involving two wheelers.

Also the road via Indore-dhule-augbd-hyd will get you good scenery, lots of roadside eateries and dhabas and 24 hour traffic. The ghats at Manpur and Kannad should be enjoyable experience though approaching heavy rains can disrupt the mood and time schedules. Bon voyage...

Gaurav, has answered most parts.

- NH9 from Hyderabad is undergoing road works. It can be quite a pain.
- d of Nagpur, you can also do Nizamabad-Bhainsa-Nanded-Akola-Burhanpur-Indore. Confirm on road conditions though. Its low on facilities on the highway as per what I gather
Sir your reply was just in time. Had taken the vellore route. Now on my way back to delhi and before hyderabad. I am in a dilema whether to go via bhopal or indore-ajmer route. No work in indore now so I can take any route. The bhopal route is considerably shorter but I am not sure of the roads. Guide me sir. Is it 4 lane from nagpur-bhopal-agra? And how are the roads

Hyd-Delhi is best done Hyd-NH9-Naldurg-Tuljapur-Osmanabad-Aurangabad-Dhule-Dhamnod-Sendhwa-Pithampura(Indore bypass)-Ratlam-Lebad-Neemuch-Nimbahera-Chittor-Bhilwara-Jaipur-Gurgaon

https://www.google.co.in/maps?saddr=...a=8,10&t=m&z=6

Hyd-Aurangabad is around 11-12hrs drive.Wouldnt reccomend a night drive as facilities are poor post Naldurg.Better to stay in Hyd and start next day morning and you could either stay in Aurangabad and next day drive Aurangabad-Chittorgarh.

+1 to Ranjit. Take the Aurangabad-Indore-Ratlam Option.

Ranjit how is Osmanadad option compared to Nizamabad/Nanded/Parbani/Jalna?

Did indore to hyderabad trip with a night halt at aurangabad in two days. Total distance little over 1000 km. First time on a bike over such a long distance alone. The road was great with a light drizzle and the scenery all over was amazing. Will try to attach the pics.

The tripmeter shows 40 to 50 km less than the actual distance covered as there was a failure of the worm speedo gear on the first day. Got it replaced in dhule.

The route i took was
indore - khalghat - dhule - aurangabad on the first day. Started at around 7 am and reached aurangabad by 7.30 pm, with 3-4 halts in between.
Amazing 4 lane highway upto dhule, two lane after that upto aurangabad but the road surface is good and amazing views in the ghat sections.

Second day
Started around 7 am from aurangabad - beed - osmanabad - naldurg - umarga - humnabad- zaheerabad- hyderabad.
Reached BHEL by 6.30 pm, took 2 more hours to get to tarnaka through the traffic.

Fergus shal reply to your pm as well.

Medchal Nagpur budget for 7hrs approx.Hardly any eating facilities.Bad sections before nagpur around pandharkawda at AP mH border after Adilabad and around Hinganghat.Fuel stations plenty.Carry food with you.

Nagpur Betul :4 laned
Betul Itarsi:average to good
Itarsi Budni:Bad
Budni Bhopal :Good
Bhopal Indore:Excellent

Budni ROB opened yesterday,so expect no jams there.

Budget for a 12hr drive with breaks.Nil facilities between Nagpur and Itarsi.Stock up on food from Nagpur itself.Platinum Resort at Itarsi,MPTDCHighway Treat at Bhimbetka,Amar green on Bhopal Bypass.

If it rains heavily Budget for slightly more time else nagpur bhopal is approx 7-8hrs and Bhopal Indore in 3hrs.

Thanks Ranjit for the information
What about the route Hyderabad- Homnabad- Naldurg- Tuljapur -Osmanabad-Beed-Aurangabad-Dhule-Dhanmod-Indore
Google maps shows a few shorter routes but no idea about road conditions.

Its not worth going via Aurangabad, the NH9 is in bad condition at many places, plus you would have to drive on two laned state roads at many places.

re: Hyderabad to Indore : Route Queries

1. Request for road conditions on: Nagpur-Indore sector. (i hope this is the right thread to post)

2. Nagpur - Betul -Khandwa -Indore : is this the best route ?

3. Are there any eateries and fuel stations enroute ?

(I will be driving with wife and 1 year old son)

4. Accommodation at Nagpur (i searched tbhp and found peanut hotels as one good place, but, the link is old)

Planning to drive from Hyderabad to Bhopal and back. Request an update on the best route and road conditions. Is this doable on one day if two of us share the driving? Is there a bye-pass for Nagpur? Thanks.

NH7 till Nagpur. NH69 via Betul, Hoshangabad & Obaidullahgunj to Bhopal after that.
Road condition - the usual bad patches at Pandharkawada and Hinganghat.
Nagpur has a Ring Road.

One option I can think : Nagpur-Chindwara-Narsingpur-Bhopal.

I hear the road via Betul/Itarsi being not that good. But lets confirm the same from others.

Is Betul option decent enough or a detour via Chindwara worth considering?

re: Hyderabad to Indore : Route Queries

Folks,
I am planning a hyderabad - indore road trip with family.
Here are the options.
1. Hyd - nagpur- betul- bhopal - indore
2. Hyd - aurangabad - indore

With option 1, the advantage is that after 7 hrs drive till nagpur, take a night halt and start refreshed next day. Also heard that nagpur - bhopal is stretch best done during day time. Secondly till betul, its mentioned that it is 4 laned highway so driving should be ok when compared to 2 laned ones.

Option 2 is shorter however hyd - aurangabad has to be done in a day with 11 hrs drive.

Please advise on the route and the road conditions.

HVK sir- tried sending you a PM as well however could not get through.
