Singapore Tourist Visa - Queries

Could anybody tell me whether Singapore Tourist Visa for Indian
Travellers is a Single entry or Multiple entry visa ?

I am asking since if anyone has a Tourist visa for singapore ,
and then he goes to Malaysia on Land Route , can he return
back to Singapore on same visa and fly out from Singapore ?

Any reply will be appreciated .

Cheers

It is a Multiple entry visa, and now it is e-visa so it is not stamped on your passport.

As others mentioned, its multiple entry, and to be frank, getting Singapore Visa was one of the easiest Visa experiences. Did not even have to go to Consulate.

No.

Malaysia used to have VOA (visa on arrival) for Indian passport holders - no more since May 2008. You must now apply for a visa from the Malaysian consulate in Chennai or Delhi.

However I believe that it is still possible to get a visa on arrival in case you already have a singapore visa on your passport, but I am not 100% sure. I would not recommend that option.

1. Please fill up this form.

2. Please approach any of these agents

Along with the completely filled-out form you must have:
  • Valid passport with at least six months validity on the date of departure from Singapore
  • Go to a professional photo studio and ask them to give you a passport/visa photo according to singapore visa specified standards. Specify it to the photo studio, they will know what to do.
  • Residence proof, income proof and if you have any email/letter/invitation/reason to visit. If just a tourist, write a letter stating that you would like to visit Singapore as a tourist and tell them how long and where else (what other country) you intend to go.
If you want any other information please click here.

Stick to what I've advised and your visa is guaranteed.

Let us know how it went. Repay us with a nicely written travelogue with photos.

Cheers,
Sam

Singapore and Malaysian Visa's are the simplest to get and require the least documents.

Go to any reupted Travel Agent, who is a SAVE partner (i.e they are ones authorised to apply for VISA online). Check out the below link for the list of travel agents listed as partners.

https://www.psi.gov.sg/NASApp/tmf/TM...horisedProxies

For Singapore Visit Visa - It is multiple entry Visa
1. Submit your Photo as per the Visa specified standards
2. A letter stating the Purpose of Visit and period of stay (The travel agent would normally have a template of this).
3. It would help if you have confirmed onward/return journey tickets, not necessary though.
You should get your VISA on the third working day from the day you submitted your papers and this should cost you about 1500 Rs (Thats what I paid in Sep '08)

For Malaysian Visa,
You just give the travel agent normal passport size photos (or the same Singapore Visa photos) along with the Passport. This should cost you an extra 1000 Rs or so and add another 3 days for the Malaysian Visa.

Cheers.

Gents,

Thanks to all for all responses,
Actually the present offer ongoing offer is fantastic,
Singapore Airlines is offering only Rs.11000/- for a
roundtrip fare from Kolkata-Singapore-Kolkata (
Infact the total fare for 2 persons me amd my wife
came to 21,745 , less than 11,000 per head ) ,its
much cheaper than Kolkata Bombay return ),
the tag is the ticket price is nonrefundable, no
date change and no cancellation . I think there
are same offer from other Indian cities too on SQ flights.
Offer valid for Ticketing upto 29th May and for
Journey till end September.

One more request , if you can PM me a Draft copy /
Template of the letter required for Tourist Visa .

I saw there were lot of agencies in Singapore ,
who does malaysian visa in a day , one such
is just behind the Great Mohd. Mustafa , its
Mustafa Travel or something like that.

I will definitely write a travelogue when we are
through.

Cheers

+1
I've used their services a couple of years ago. The whole family was in Singapore and I was the only one who didn't have a Malaysian visa. My visa was processed in a day(as promised). With Malaysian visas - there was an option of getting a single/multiple entry visa.

We drove to Kuala Lumpur and Genting Heights in my uncle's car - gotta love their low low gas prices.

Tour Operator in Delhi

I was looking for Singapore Tour for 4 nights. Did tried calling few of big shots in Tour packages like, SOTC, Cox and Kings, Travelchacha and Yatra. Almost everyone came with 40K package per person in June travel. Can you guys suggest something else or should I book Hotel and Tickets myself and arrange something for local travel in Singapore itself. Any help will be appreciated.

If you are looking for a cheaper option, package deal is a better bet. Making your own travel arrangements will be very expensive. But then, the whole experience of the trip will be far more better than the package tour.

IMHO if you can spare a little cash, go for the trip on your terms. Do all the arrangements yourself. The only thing you may have to arrange before you leave are
1. Tickets & Visa - Any travel agent will get it for you
2. Accomodation - You can do it yourself or take the help of a travel agent
3. Tickets for any particular shows or other parks etc (which may not be available on short notice)

Singapore has a very good and efficient transport system, so you don't need to worry on that front.

Package deals are very hectic and most of the time you are with a group of sheep which doesn't make the experience a memorable one
