since u r staying in mumbai u need to think would u be able to get parking for your big boy and would it be easy to move with it in heavy traffic.

i would suggest you toyoata corrolla or optra magnum.. corrolla is old now but its a very comfortable reliable car and its a toyota but the new one is coming in march 2008 and as far as i think it will be better than civic.. optra magnum diesel is a new car with a amazing engine and the overall package is very tempting its comfortable and has good interiors..

Hey is that correct? Does the Corolla really rattle that much?? Thats a shocker esp for a car in that segment. I used to think that only the Marutis are subject to the rattling. Frankly even my Indigo which has done 42000kms doesnt rattle at all!!

SX4 zxi great if you want petrol Rs. 8 lakhs app
Verna crdi sx diesel Rs. 9 lakhs app
Scorpio Rs. Rs. 8.5 app reasonably loaded too
Corolla base version Rs. 10 lakhs App
all prices on road
Corolla seems to be a good bet because it is slightly upmarket but it is going to be phased out in near future
You never go wrong with SX4 and Verna they are segment leaders
