I fully agree with you on the handling quality, team suzuki. The SX4 handles beautifully ! Yes, it is a big car, and as the boot is also one of the biggest in its segment, the rear view is a little cramped, but then one gets used to it over time. But the over all handling considering manoeuvrability, power available, steering, ride smoothness also due to the higher ground clearance, road keeping ability etc is excellent !!

To fully appreciate her qualities, you have to take her out on the Highway.

1 and 1/2 pages of praises without even understanding what the thread starter is really looking for? Its not that one car is the best for everyone out there. IN that case ther wouldnt have been so many diffferent cars on the roads.

Well i think we whould have the courtesy to hear what his priorities are first. But where is he in the first place!!

Well... As per me, its...

Engine- Verna (SX4 could have been more refined)
Performance- SX4 (Verna powerful but soft set-up makes it scary as speeds increase)
Build Quality- Verna
Ride quality- Verna (Come on... Its one of the softest set-ups in the segment)
Ergonomics- SX4. (Liked the steering volume controls and such features)
Handling- SX4

Why has everyone left out the Aveo? For the price i think its the best looker with amazing interiors!. Performance is a little blunted but if you are going to stick to to the city then its a good buy! Plkus there are a lot of discounts avaiable.

Hey guys, i have done 5000 Kms in my SX4 and i have done my second free service yesterday. The experience was very good with my SX4 zxi and i love the brakes . It has a very good handling in the Highways. My Sx4 gives around 13 Kmpl on an average (includes both city and highways). I feel Suzuki should improve the built especially the outer metal sheets which they use, it is very thin (i can see many small dents on the bonnet and it was due to people rest there hand on the bonnet for cleaning during the water service). This is something that we cannot notice immediately but when you have a deep look then we might notice it.

Go with this priority
1. City
2. Fiesta
3. Verna
4. SX4
5. Aveo

SX4 look good for one month, after that it looks like 3 years old car

@ youth 2bond: Your options based on your priority, if it would be,
1. Economy go with the City or the Fiesta 1.4 TDCi, performance of both is quite adequete for (as its name suggests) the City, you can also wait for the SX4 DDiS in 1H'08
2. Styling - it has to be the Aveo, amazing interiors just love it but not a drivers car
3. Performance - Fiesta 1.6 or the Verna 1.5 CRDi VGT
4. Mixed bag - SX4 1.6 and Verna 1.6

But if you can stretch your budget by a lac (give it a try), look at Mitsubishi Cedia, my dream ultimate driving machine.

Verna would be a good option taking comfort into account. But if handling becomes priority, I think Ford Fiesta is the king in this segment

Ditto from me. Only thing you don't get in a Fiesta are airbags and steering mounted audio controls, but in all other respects, I would rate this superior to competition.
If mileage is your concern, then all cars fall way behind NHC.
