I would suggest a Baleno man....good car that one....do you want to modify or something??, 'cos if you are planning to then go for this car.
If you are a drive safe kind of guy then go for the NHC. That's all i got to say...rest is your decision.

Pardon me for my ignorance, but what is K&N ??
K&N is a world renowned company that provides high performance products for your engine. their products mainly deal with the enhancement of breathing of your engine; for example, the air filter- K&N has some of the world's best air filters, that have a long life and enhances the air intake of the engine. other products from K&N also include custom intakes, etc. but they don't specialise in exhausts....

the following link might put things more into perspective for you...

Dude..go in for the New Honda City..it's a babe against the old outdated Baleno.
And yeah - you'll be carrying the Honda tag.

I hope using K&N does not void my warranty on the car....

hey shobhit ,
the upgrade of your tyres sould cost you aywhere between 3-4 k . a good set of alloys , say 14 inch ones would cost you like 15-17k . both prices are for a set of 5 .
a good mp3 player with a set of 4 speakers will not cost you more than 12-15k .
and thats a very difficult choice to make between the nhc and the baleno .

manson .

p.s. welcome aboard , enjoy your stay . a

Hey Guys

Thanks a ton for your replies. I have decided that I'll go for Baleno VXI. Buying an LXI and adding my own modifications (spoiler, alloys, power antenna etc.) would probably save me Rs 15000 -20,000 but its not worth it. After all company fitted equipment is far better and so will be the resale value of a VXI over LXI.

Ofcourse I'll change teh tyres to wider 195 ones.

infact the resale won't be very different from the resale of the lxi . and apart from saving the money you will get better looking mags and a far superior system from what the vxi comes with .

But I won't get height adjustable front seat which I need so that my mom can also drive easily. Also the rear demister is not there in lxi.

Shobhit, as i see u live in Noida, so i assume the winters and monsoons are real high there? in that case, u should have the demister. i prefer it a lot, but in hyderabad, due to the hot climatic conditions here, hardly get to use the Demister.

Hey ppl. I have finally decided on buying Baleno LXI. I have decided to exhange my 165 tyres with 185 ones. What I'd like to know is do alloy wheels really help ?

I went to a tyre dealer and he advised me against going for alloys. He showed me his new Octavia and told me that he had puroposely removed the alloys and fitted the old rims.

I then went to another dealer and he also told me not to go for alloys. He said that if the car bumps in to a pothole badly, the rim would only get a little bent but alloys might develop cracks.

I am confused now. Even though the tyre dealers whom I talked to all sold alloys they advised me not to go for them.

Also I want to know a few points :

1. I'm getting Goodyear 185/70 R 13 tubeless tyres for Rs 6,000 extra in exhange of new baleno 165 tyres. Is this price reasonable ?

2. Which tyres would be better without alloys - tubeless or regular ones ?

3. For normal rims, which tyre would be better for Baleno - 185/70 or 185/65 ?

4. If I want to replace the centre console with the silvery one (which comes in VXI), what is the approx. cost of that ?

Who are these people? Dumb & Dumber? Anyway, regarding mods go the Modifications section and look for Baleno, you will get tons of data on everything.

Hey ppl

I had decided to buy Baleno LXI when a friend suggested to consider Accent GLS too.
What do you think should I go for ? Baleno or Accent ?

I have heard from some ppl that Accent engine is not at all good and requires a lot of maintenence. Is that true ?
