I am booking my Civic V MT on Wednesday, Feb 10th. Planning to take delivery of the car on 9th March. The corporate discount offered was 20,000 INR. I heard it varies depending on which company one works for. For instance, I was told that IBM employees get 25K off while companies like CTS and TCS get 20K off.

Thanks. Whats the insurance amount? IIRC, it was 40K+. Was surprised, since the Cedia insurance is around 25K !

What decides the insurance amount? Is it a factor of the ex-showroom price?

The insurance amount as quoted in the price list is 49,575 INR for the ex-show room price of 12,95,000 INR. However, I was offered a discount of 10,439 INR on the same. This is the so called 'Honda Assure' which supposedly has more benefits that the regular insurance.

Ignoring the above, by default, dont we know that anything from Honda comes at a premium ?

In my case the corp discount was 20k and Insurance was at 17.5K. My SBI loan is pending sanction this week. I am in the process of arranging rest of the finance from my side. Hope to take delivery in the first week of March.

Insurance at 17.5K for a Civic is incredible. The best quote I could get was for 34K. Which insurance provider is this ?

Hi Guys,
Took delivery of my Civic V AT, just reached home. She feels great in the AT mode. Tried the paddles and S mode too, but did not go over 2.5 K rpm. Shall post details asap.

Insurance is with Tata AIG. I also transferred my 50% NCB on my existing car which I am selling back to dealer. Hence the low rate.
