But at that time (Dec 21st or so) the whole of the US was on holiday and would have been till at least 4-5 Jan. Now they must be limping back to life and I hope that they resolve this irritating issue with the iPad app asap.

Shankar.balan and other iOS6 iPad users:

I really apologize for keeping you guys waiting on this fix for so long. We have been following up with the developers very regularly for quite a while, and were largely in the dark about things.

Just recently we've been told that some core libraries used to make the app haven't been updated enough to completely support iOS6. They have been working on updating these libraries -- and thats why the delay. Hopefully when the update is released "soon", it will resolve all the issues being faced with iOS6.

Once again - truly sorry for this.

Is there a option for black theme? Black background and white coloured texts?

Not in the app at the moment, but iOS does have an "inverted screen" option in Settings > Accessibility.

Here's an update on this issue:

The devs seem to have got this fixed now. They'll be testing it for a while on their app to make sure there are no surprises, and after that the updated TBHP app will be submitted to Apple for approval.

Hi Shankar,

I think testing has gone well. If things go as planned, the app will be submitted to the iTunes store in the next few days, and after that about a week for Apple's approval.

Thanks,
R

I installed iOS 6.1 update and it appears that the issues with the buttons is resolved now.

Yes, the issue has auto-resolved and 6.1 has resulted in restoration of WiFi too. Good as 5.1.1 with all the benefits of 6.

Rehaan, If I may suggest that for the next iteration: Kindly do not let the individual post on iOS be clickable as it goes one deep (HTML view of that post) and it happens mostly accidentally with touch.

App back to being awesome on iPad. Wooohooo.

Correction: If started in the portrait mode then the issue is resolved, else if started in the landscape mode the issue still exists.

Thanks!

FYI : iOS App Version 1.6.2 is currently awaiting approval from the iTunes store. It was submitted 2 days back.

It works perfectly on the iphone and ipod touch but the moment you use it on the ipad it goes haywire.

Now it must be close to two months that we are facing this issue. I first noticed it around mid December 2012. Wonder when it will be resolved.

To follow up on my earlier post above:

The app status just changed from "Awaiting Review" to "In Review" this morning. Shouldn't be long now...

Version 1.6.2 is now available in the iTunes store...
